Besides the inconvenient giving-up of constitutional rights, there is no bill to read so we can find out what’s in it, nor do any measures besides concealed-carry have any evidence that they make people “safer or more secure.” This is policy based on emotion and indoctrination rather than being evidence-based. These leftists even oppose voluntary arming and training of school official volunteers for those districts that cannot afford dedicated law enforcement.
These new standards and the involvement of the NCSE show that AGW will remain a strong ideological force for many more years.
It’s similar to giving more of other peoples money to the teachers union for educating/indoctrinating our kids a year earlier than normal with free pre-school. It’s like giving the parent (s) free day care, so what’s not to like.

Schools do not educate but rather they indoctrinate. Social indoctrination takes precedent over education. No wonder so many graduates can’t even read. Parents have absolutely no clue what is going in the classroom and teachers must indoctrinate or be fired.
It is well understood that if you can instill a value in a young the child then he will not be able to abandon it in later life. Critical thinking; independent thought or debate is cancelled by indoctrination. The graduates will believe that paying a carbon tax to the government is the way to stop pollution. Of course pollution will continue, but the brainwashed graduates will simply insist on more taxes.
This is why schools indoctrinate against guns by pretending that even speaking or writing the word gun is dangerous and punishing the student. For thirty years sex education indoctrination opened the door to teaching Bobby to kiss Johnny and promote homosexuality. Now it is “normal” for boys to love each other. Pedophiles saw the success and are moving to duplicate it so that it will be normal for young children to be sexually active with anyone they wish, including adults.
You don’t acquire critical thinking skills until you get a university level education and then (a) only if you’re predisposed to critical thinking to begin with and (b) the subjects you study aren’t entirely scientific/technical in nature.
