When you purchase a gun in the US, you have to pass a Federal background check. In Colorado this was taking two weeks during December. Obama seems to be unaware of the current law.
If you lie about your birthplace, you probably won’t pass the background check.

If you are unable to conclude that he did not at least lie that he was born in Kenya, or promote an error as the truth, then I’d have to say your judgment of science is also questionable.

I always thought that if one have a US parent, then one is a US citizen, no matter where one is born. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Citizenship is not the issue. Requirements to be president are different. That is not what this is all about. It is more about lying and benefitting from the lie.

No, he may be a citizen and probably is. He is not eligible to be POTUS for the same reasons I am not – the law in effect at the time of his birth. It is a long story and not that difficult to understand.
Both my parents are US citizens and my citizenship was questioned last time I applied for a new passport. In fact, my birth certificate was not even enough for them, I had to supply documents that 99.999999% of US citizens do not have. My parents were smart and I was lucky, this time.
