The USHCN station at Weatherford, Texas is the closest station to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Over the last 70 years, the frequency of hot days and average afternoon summer temperatures at Weatherford have declined.

Prior to the 1960’s, summers at Bloomington, Indiana were typically very hot – but over the last 80 years summer maximum temperatures and the frequency of hot days have plummeted.

Hot days used to occur quite frequently at Ithaca, New York – but since 1954 the frequency of hot days has plummeted and rarely occur any more. Google Earth

Ashland, Nebraska is the closest USHCN station to Omaha.  Summer temperatures and the frequency of hot days have plummeted there over the past 80 years.

Lincoln, Virginia is the closest Virginia USHCN station to Washington, DC. The frequency of hot days has plummeted there over the last 90 years. Google Earth
