I have no opinion about Obama’s birthplace, and don’t care. It is 100% clear that Barack is not a loyal American, regardless of where he was born. His older brother Malik has no idea where Barack was born.

NOAA monthly USHCN temperatures show the US has been cooling since 1920, but NOAA tampers with the data to create a non-existent warming trend. When they release temperature graphs, they do no include a disclaimer that they have reversed the trend from cooling to warming, and they do not provide graphs of the actual measured temperatures. This is blatant deception and fraud.

More than 40% of their adjusted monthly temperatures are now fake – i.e. no actual thermometer data behind them.

The usual fraudsters at Climate Progress claim that hot weather in Oklahoma last weekend was due to “climate change”

Hundreds of towns broke heat records this week. Thanks, climate change!

During October, 1898, almost 3% of Oklahoma October maximum temperature records were over 100F, compared to 1% this year.

On October 31, 1899 Kingfisher, OK reached 100 degrees.

There has been no trend in the frequency of daily maximum temperature records in the US. Most of them occurred during the 1930’s.

There is no indication that record hot temperatures are increasing in the US. But every hot day is climate, and every cold day is just weather.

Lukewarmer Pat Michaels of the CATO Institute claims that NOAA adjustments in Texas are probably due to Time Of Observation Bias. The theory being stations which take their min/max readings in the afternoon will double count hot afternoons and be biased too high in the 1930’s.

That is easy enough to test out. I broke the Texas stations out into two groups, one group is all stations, and the other group is only stations which did not record their min/max readings between 3pm and 7pm on July 15, 1936. The second group would tend to be biased too cold in the 1930’s, because they would double count cold mornings.

Here are the official NOAA Raw, TOB and final temperatures.

As you can see, Time Of Observation Bias has almost no effect on Texas temperatures. Whatever they are doing in the final adjustment step is not science.

I run into this issue frequently with lukewarmers like Pat Michaels, Judith Curry, and Anthony Watts – who apparently feel free to comment on my work without doing any actual research or contacting me.

Only problem is, they don’t have thermometers on about half of the land surface, and many of their record temperatures are fake. Grey areas below represent missing data.

Note the record hot temperatures reported in Yemen, Oman, Central African Republic, South Sudan and The Congo.

Satellite temperatures show that NOAA’s record hot Africa was actually just about normal in September.

Claims of record heat from NASA and NOAA are completely fraudulent, and are being made for political purposes. They have nothing to do with with climate or science.
