NCDC accomplished this by making up fake data for more than 50% of the land surface. They had almost no data from Antarctica, Greenland or Africa, and simply made up an imaginary surface temperature.

Satellites have much better coverage, and show that this past winter was only sixth warmest, nowhere near as warm as 1998, and on a decade long cooling trend.

Contrary to the endless lies being spouted by the White House and the rest of the alarmist climate community, summers at the nation’s capital are becoming shorter and cooler.

Hot days are coming less often, they start later in the year and end earlier in the year.

The highest summer minimum of the past decade was in 2006, which also had the smallest maximum. The lowest sea ice summer minimum occurred in 2012, which also had the second highest minimum. There is no correlation between winter maximums and summer minimums.

2015 is now above 2005 and 2006 – the two years with the highest summer minimums. Arctic sea ice has returned to the state it was in a decade ago.
