I live on the edge of a forest full of verdant vegetation and wildlife, and always spend at least two hours a day in the forest walking the dogs and cycling. Right now it is full of ripe blackberries. I never get in my car except to commute to work, because I have bike trails through forest to get to the store, gym and pubs.

The climate of Maryland is almost perfect – a few hours of heavy rain per week and rest of the time is fantastic outdoors weather. I have lived in Maryland every month except for April, and have never used heat or air conditioning in my apartment.

When I hear progressives claiming the climate is falling apart, all I can think of is that these people are completely insane. Columbia, Maryland is full of progressives, but fortunately I am about the only white person in my part of town – so I never have to deal with neurotic white folks. My neighbors all celebrate life, they cook and eat and get together with family – and none of them think they are supposed to save the planet.

Climate alarmist is a poison apple of corrupted knowledge. Humans were never intended to play God.

NCDC continues to break all records for data tampering in 2014, with a hockey stick of adjustments to turn a long term cooling trend into a warming trend.

Note that the adjustments above do not include the adjustments NCDC makes when they go from raw daily to raw monthly. Those further increase the magnitude of the tampering.

They are not making any additional TOBS adjustments after 2005, so most of the recent data tampering appears to be due to infilling missing data. Nearly 50% of the temperature data used by NCDC is now imaginary.

When your rules allow you to make up half the data, you can generate any trend your funders require.

Climate experts now mindlessly blame icebergs calving on global warming, but in 1909 they understood that it was caused by the action of the tide.

We now know that the calving of icebergs, as the breaking off of blocks from the parent glacier is called, is produced solely by the action of the tide.

In 2008 candidate Barack Obama promised to create 5 million green jobs. He laid out a plan to invest $150 billion over 10 years that would advance a clean-energy economy built around biofuels, hybrid cars, low-emission coal plants, and renewable sources such as solar and wind. How many has he actually created?

The Bureau of Labor Statistics began tracking green jobs two years ago, but it counts only how many existed as of the end of 2010. It doesn’t keep a running total of newly created jobs, so there’s no way to tell how many existed before Obama’s election. The Brookings Institution also has a tally, but it too goes only through 2010, and of the nearly 2.7 million green jobs it identifies, most were bus drivers, sewage workers, and other types of work that don’t fit the “green jobs of the future” that Obama imagined. The report does zero in on cleantech, which includes the wind, solar, fuel-cell, and smart-grid industries. In 2010, Brookings shows, there were 184,699 such jobs nationwide—up 2,642 since the president took office in 2009.

The Illinois State Climatologist says July was the coldest on record

The state climatologist says last month’s relative chilly temperatures tied the record for the coolest July in recorded Illinois history.  And as data are revised he says it’s likely this July will break the record.

NCDC’s actual thermometer data shows that the state climatologist is correct, and that Illinois summers have been cooling since the 19th century.

This puts NCDC in a very bad position, because they are massively altering Illinois July temperatures, to hide the cooling trend. How will they handle it?
