President Obama laid out his case yesterday

• Last year was very warm in the US
• Globally, the past decade was warmer than the 1970s
• It is hot and muggy in DC in the summer

Therefore there is a huge storm coming, and he doesn’t have time to debate it with the Flat Earth Society. Immediate dictatorial action is needed to stop this storm.

Who could argue with such rational, clear minded thinking?

if the federal government wants to build a fence that keeps the United States safe from the dangers of lower wages and poverty and their attendant ills — and the all-round fruitcakery of the right-wing white South — it should build that fence from Norfolk to Dallas. There’s nothing wrong with a fence, so long as you put it in the right place.

The Earth was approaching doom, but a carbon tax, gay marriage and an abortion filibuster have rescued the planet in the last 24 hours.

I want to take a moment to thank John McCain, who’s outstanding presidential campaign made this all possible.

The most important thing to remember is that the views of the US citizenry are no longer relevant. America has moved past that concept.

Obama ran on a platform that marriage is between a man and a woman, sanctified by God.

Turns out he was just lying to get elected.

Obama says he can control the climate within a few tenths of a degree. It is actually not normal or healthy for human beings to believe that they are gods, but he could improve confidence in his skills by doing something smaller – like explaining why IRS officials visited the White House hundreds of times.

Or perhaps he could just tell us what the temperature will be on July 4, since he is so in tune with atmospheric processes.

Over the last 100 years, America has added huge amounts of pavement and buildings which keep nighttime temperatures up several degrees.

Despite our best efforts to create warming, temperatures have remained flat – which is no use for fundraising.  So we progressively reduce older temperatures, in order to compensate for the fact that they are no use politically until we do.

Next week will be 100th anniversary of 134F in Greenland Ranch, California.
