Thirty-three years ago, the Fort Collins Police Department framed a high school kid for a murder he didn’t commit. They had no evidence to support the charge, and his only link to the crime is that he spotted the body. The key bad cop finally resigned today.

Lt. James Broderick, a central figure in the case that led to the wrongful conviction Tim Masters for murder, has resigned after nearly 33 years with Fort Collins police.

Broderick was on paid administrative leave with the department since June 2010, when he was indicted by a grand jury on charges of felony perjury related to his handling of the case against Masters.

Those charges were dismissed because the statutes of limitations had expired, but Broderick was indicted again on similar charges in 2011. Those charges also were dismissed, a decision that was appealed to the Colorado Supreme Court.

Perhaps it would make more sense to stop idiots from building subdivisions in the middle of pine forests, rather than sending America back to the dark ages trying to control the climate. Another Chinook is coming in this afternoon, and fire crews are working frantically to smother the smoldering regions from Friday’s fire.

There are 21 HCN stations in Iowa. All of them set their all-time record maximum temperature prior to 1940.

James Hansen says that CO2 loads the dice for heatwaves, which he says were almost impossible before 1988.

The month is half over, and so far Iowa temperatures have been the coldest since 1969. With record cold forecast for the coming week, it is possible that this will be the coldest March since 1965 in Iowa, and the fifth coldest on record.

Climate experts told us last March that warm temperatures in the midwest were due to global warming.

At the beginning of February  the always truthful New York Times told us that global warming had wrecked the Iditarod.

Last year, experts told us that man-made CO2 made Midwestern March weather warm. They also tell us that the past year has seen a record increase in CO2. This explains the fifty degree drop in temperatures since last year.

Like Jimmy Carter, Obama has decreed America’s energy future.

In 1980 I was working for Jimmy Carter on his Synfuels Corporation. Jimmy had just decreed that America would run off synthetic fuels derived from oil shale, coal gasification, etc.

Reality set in shortly thereafter, the Synfuels Corporation went belly up, and America continued using gasoline engines – just like they will continue to do long after Dear Leader gets impeached. During his first term, he was going to power America by windmills  and solar panels, but he seems to have given up on that scam.

Dear Leader says that the Politburo has made its 10 year plan, and everyone will be forced to get rid of their gasoline burning cars and convert to methane.

The reason for this is because burning gasoline produces slightly more CO2 than what is produced by burning methane. Unfortunately the politburo forgot to consider the fact that the same alarmists pushing the CO2 scam, also claim that methane is a 30X more potent greenhouse gas than CO2.
