The Obama administration pulled back on plans to give an award to an Egyptian activist after anti-American and anti-Semitic messages were discovered on her Twitter account.

Samira Ibrahim, an Egyptian activist who rallied worldwide attention against forced “virginity tests” on female protesters, was supposed to be honored Friday along with nine others by first lady Michelle Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry. The State Department, though, announced that it would postpone the International Women of Courage award while officials investigate the tweets. Ibrahim is now headed back home.

“We, as a department, became aware very late in the process about Samira Ibrahim’s alleged public comments,” State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland told reporters.

Obama was planning to give an award to a raging anti-Semite, and now says he didn’t know she was a raging anti-Semite. So the question is : is Obama completely incompetent, a liar or both?

Obama has banned the American public from the White House, but invited this foreign hatemonger – without doing any vetting?

This is the same Obama which immediately blamed Benghazi on a YouTube filmmaker and had him jailed. Apparently Obama doesn’t know how to use the Internet, because he was unable to notice this minor problem in his bio – for 17 years.

We were all raised on literature and movies like 1984, WWII movies about the Nazi SS, Star Wars storm troopers, Terminator Rise Of The Machines, Star Trek The Borg, etc. Everyone understands the frightening imagery at an intellectual level. No one would accept any of these ideas if presented directly.

But that is not how it works. We have gradually been taught (through constant fearmongering) to link pleasure with all of the above imagery – which we should fear and abhor.  All of the worst concepts in those books and movies are rapidly coming true, and Americans have been taught to cheer them on.

The keys to stopping our enslavement are

1. Stop watching television news. They are the root of the problem
2. Start thinking for yourself.
3. Understand what the motivation of the fearmongers is
4. Break the associations of pleasure with things that are meant to destroy you

Who are the real terrorists? Piers Morgan is far more of a threat to liberty than Osama bin Laden ever was.

Hansen says that CO2 is much more powerful than natural variability.

He also says that the lack of warming over the last decade as CO2 has increased, is due to natural variability masking the CO2 warming.

Call me crazy, but I thought the forecast for Snowquester was pretty good, as total busts and epic fiascos go. The models in this case predicted serious snow in the I-95 corridor, but the storm “underperformed,” and didn’t drop snow intensely enough and consistently enough to cool down the warm layer of the atmosphere and the warm ground in the urban areas. For those of us in the city, Snowquester turned out to be the winter storm equivalent of Albert Haynesworth.

Still, I blame the storm more than I blame the computer models. The models are pretty good. It’s Nature that messed this up.
