In 1999, NASA showed 1934 0.6C warmer than 1998 in the US

They tried to delete this graph in August, 2012 – and they also attempted to corrupt it on January 18, 2011 – before they got caught by me.

Why Has This Data Been Deleted From The NASA Web Site?

By the year 2000, NASA was already very busy tampering with the underlying data. They published data in 2000 showing that 1934 was only 0.25C warmer than 1998. The data was originally located at the link below, but they have since deleted it from their disk.

Fortunately John Daly captured the data before the NASA FOIA scientists had a chance to destroy it.

Between 1999 and 2000, the gap between 1934 and 1998 dropped by more than 50%. NASA now shows 1998 much warmer than 1934. The hackers and tamperers at NASA and NOAA are working overtime to influence US policy by generating fraudulent data.

My GHCN/USHCN software calculates a non-gridded average of all US daily or monthly temperature readings (depending on the data source.)

I was wondering how closely my numbers agree with NCDC’s gridded numbers. The graph below shows the difference between my calculated USHCN final numbers and NCDC reported US temperatures. As you can see, the match is very good. There is a 0.25F offset, but the trend is zero. My calculation method does not affect the trend, and is thus valid for how I am using it.

NOAA claims that their adjustments are small, peer reviewed and well documented. A total of about 0.5F, and then they go flat after 1990.

This is bad enough, but the actual adjustments (below) are much larger than what they document – about three times larger. Note too the oddity with 2012. They had to adjust 2012 raw data down, because their 2012 “raw” data was adjusted upwards by a huge amount.

Even worse is that the adjustments now increase exponentially after 1990, whereas their documentation shows that they go flat after 1990.

The graph below superimposes the documented “peer reviewed” adjustments on the actual adjustments which NOAA is publishing. As you can see, they bear little resemblance.

NOAA hides behind peer review, when in fact they aren’t even using the adjustments which they had reviewed. The published NOAA US temperatures bear no resemblance to reality. Bottom line is that NOAA is either completely incompetent or committing fraud – or both.

Last week, scientists from the United States Commerce Department’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said that a study of temperature readings for the contiguous 48 states over the last century showed there had been no significant change in average temperature over that period.

Phil Jones concurred and said that US temperatures are largely irrelevant anyway.

Dr. Jones said in a telephone interview today that his own results for the 48 states agreed with those findings. But he said there was no inconsistency between the apparent stable trend in the United States and the rise in global temperature because the 48 states cover a very small fraction of the earth’s surface and there are bound to be regional variations in climate.

NOAA tells a completely different story now. The current story is that the US has been heating since 1895, and that the US determines the earth’s climate.

The National Climate Assessment depends on non-existent warming in the US, so NOAA had to alter the data to make it appear that the US is warming rapidly.

Future generations of Americans can expect to spend 25 days a year sweltering in temperatures above 100F (38C), with climate change on course to turn the country into a hotter, drier, and more disaster-prone place.

The National Climate Assessment, released in draft form on Friday , provided the fullest picture to date of the real-time effects of climate change on US life, and the most likely consequences for the future.

The 1,000-page report, the work of the more than 300 government scientists and outside experts, was unequivocal on the human causes of climate change, and on the links between climate change and extreme weather.

“Climate change is already affecting the American people,” the draft report said. “Certain types of weather events have become more frequent and/or intense including heat waves, heavy downpours and in some regions floods and drought. Sea level is rising, oceans are becoming more acidic, and glaciers and Arctic sea ice are melting.”

The report, which is not due for adoption until 2014, was produced to guide federal, state and city governments in America in making long-term plans.

Let’s look at their claim that 100 degree days are going to increase. Since 1930, one hundred degree days in the US have been in sharp decline. The graph below shows all 100F daily maximums reported at all GHCN HCN US stations since 1930, and 2012 doesn’t even rank in the top twenty. 1936 had almost three times as many 100 degree readings as 2012.

The entire basis of the report is a complete fraud, and it is supported by completely fraudulent claims from NOAA. The frequency of 100 degree days in the US is down 40% since the 1930s.

NOAA publishes something called “raw” monthly data – which is supposed to be unadjusted. It shows 2012 super-duper hot.

Only problem is, this “raw” data has been massively altered. The graph below shows the difference between the “raw” monthly temperature and the GHCN HCN daily data which it is derived from.

NOAA has blown away the record for data tampering in 2012 – by a very large margin.
