NASA’s Top Climate Scientist: U.S. South Could Become Uninhabitable

Well, it doesn’t come as a huge surprise to see this statement from NASA’s James Hansen, perhaps the top climate scientist in the world.

Here’s the statement I’m referring to:“Climate change — human-made global warming — is happening. It is already having noticeable impacts…. If we stay on with business as usual, the southern U.S. will become almost uninhabitable.”

Temperatures in the south peaked in 1921, and have declined more than one degree over the last century.

Academia has become uninhabitable because of the stench of Hansen’s BS.

The White House malfeasance and cover up has magically disappeared since the election, through a series of well planned crises.

Israel had hundreds of missiles launched at them this year, and repeatedly went to the UN asking for the UN to demand a cease fire. The UN of course ignored the Israeli requests until Israel started defending herself and began kicking Hamas ass.  Fearful that Israel might end the conflict permanently, the UN and Obama rushed in and demanded a cease fire.

The UN has kept Palestinians in refugee camps for 70 years, in order to foment hatred against Israel and keep the conflict alive. Half a million Jews fled Arab countries during the 1948 war, and settled as citizens in Israel. Why haven’t Arab countries done the same for the Palestinian Arabs in Lebanon? Why are they still in refugee camps? The idea of being a war refugee for three generations and 70 years is unprecedented and is beyond ludicrous.

February of 1936 was the coldest in the US since the start of the twentieth century.

How did Katherine determine that the small warm area east of New Jersey was caused by “climate change?” Did climate change miss the unusually cold water around Alaska, New Zealand and South America?

Sandy only spent a few hours in that warm water patch, which was barely above 60F and was not warm enough to produce hurricane activity.  Sandy was called a superstorm, because she mixed with very cold air from the west and produced record snow. Hayhoe’s second comment also shows that she is either incompetent or dishonest.

San Francisco official Wiener leads vote on public nudity ban

A 6-5 vote by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors has brought a ban on public nudity (except at permitted festivals and parades) one step closer to becoming city ordinance.

The proposed ban — not spawned by straight couples with children or angry Castro District business owners exposed daily to a hoard of “Naked Guys” — was introduced by counsel-person Scott Wiener who says “the dominant demographic expressing concern is gay men,” reported the Los Angles Times. Wiener hopes to expand on a prior clothing-not-optional ordinance for restaurants and other areas of public seating, the Times also noted.

Climate scientists have done the same thing, connecting weather to taxes. A hurricane tells the New York mayor that we need more taxes. Every weather event convinces Bill McKibben that we need more taxes. California and Australia officially associate weather and taxes.

Karen Carpenter ruined her life and then killed herself by associating purging with happiness. Drug addicts do the same thing.  Irrational, neurotic, destructive associations will never lead to anything good.

There is always a thin thread of truth tied to any neurosis, like the fact that CO2 is a greenhouse gas.   Now drool.

Time to do something about the weather

Options have been laid out: A tax on carbon as suggested by former Secretary of State George Shultz and others is one idea. The Save Our Climate Act, for example, would have required industry to pay a steadily rising fee on carbon pollution and given much of the revenue back to households to cushion against rising prices.  But there are other options, too. Cap-and-trade is a policy that conservatives once favored and then reviled. It deserves another look.

Congratulations James Hansen and Michael Mann. You have achieved things which Osama bin Laden could only hope for in his wildest dreams. You have abused your inside position of trust in a completely unprecedented fashion, and turned a great nation into a bunch of driveling idiots.

Because we had a hurricane, the UN is hoping that America will bend over and adopt UN domination of our lives.

Christiana Figueres, who leads the United Nations negotiations to get governments to reduce carbon emissions in the world, regards Hurricane Sandy as “yet another wake-up call” for Americans to get on board with her climate change policy.

“Yes, I certainly do think that this is yet another wake-up call,” Figueres said of Hurricane Sandy to Yale Environment 360 in an interview published by The Guardian.”I did hear President Obama say quite categorically in his acceptance speech that he is not going to have a future that is threatened by increasing warming . . . I do think that this mirrors the growing awareness in the United States. So I do think that Sandy has contributed to this. Is it the tipping point? That remains to be seen.”

This is a centralized transformation that is taking place because governments have decided that they need to listen to science. So it’s a very, very different transformation and one that is going to make the life of everyone on the planet very different.
