Record cold wave breaks 13 low temperature records

JUNEAU — The National Weather Service said clear skies caused temperatures to reach record lows across southeast Alaska.

Low temperature readings at Juneau’s airport broke a 66-year-old record for July 12 on Thursday morning, with the temperature falling to 38 degrees. The prior record, set in 1946, was 40 degrees.

The lowest new low, according to the weather service, was 36 degrees, and was recorded at two other Juneau-area reporting stations, and Hyder.

In all, 13 records were set, although some communities, like Juneau, Haines and Skagway, had multiple reporting stations recording records.

House Republicans on Monday asked the federal courts to intervene and force the Obama administration to turn over documents from the botched Fast and Furious gun-walking operation, escalating what had been a simmering constitutional crisis.

Last week, scientists from the United States Commerce Department’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said that a study of temperature readings for the contiguous 48 states over the last century showed there had been no significant change in average temperature over that period.

Dr. (Phil) Jones said in a telephone interview today that his own results for the 48 states agreed with those findings.

In 1989, NOAA and CRU said that there had been no warming in the US. Now they show more than one degree warming for the same period.

In 1999, Hansen also said that there had been no warming.

At some point after 1999, NOAA appears to have been taken over crooks in pursuit of funding.

Governor Moonbeam is using taxpayer money to display this NOAA graph on his anti-denier website.

Looks scary – the only problem is that it is complete garbage. The measured data (which the graph above is supposed to be based on) is shown in the graph below through 2011. (The 2012 data has not been released.)

The next graph shows the adjustments tampering which NOAA has done to the data. They have adjusted inflated recent years upwards by almost 2.5 degrees relative to the 1930s, and have made the Dust Bowl completely disappear.

We have passed a tipping point where unabashed NOAA fraud is affecting millions of lives.
