January temperatures plummeted by five degrees in the US between 1931 and 1979.
In order to make that inconvenient “ice age scare” of the 1970s go away, they had to make the 1930s disappear. Also note that satellite data is reported starting in 1979 – which was the second coldest January in US history, after 1977.
NCDC shows a warming trend for June in the US, which does not exist in the thermometer data. Prior to being tampered with, the four warmest Junes (by far) were 1933, 1934, 1911 and 1952.

On July 13, 1936 – Mio, Michigan hit 112F, the hottest temperature ever recorded in Michigan. One person was dying nearly every minute from the heat.
Leading experts tell us that this could not have happened with CO2 below 350 ppm. CO2 was 310 ppm at the time, proving once again that many climate experts are incompetent buffoons.

Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.), a top House Democrat, is urging the Energy and Commerce Committee’s Republican majority to hold a hearing that explores links between climate change and extreme weather.
The request, spelled out in a letter Friday, is a sign that Democrats and environmentalists hope to translate the recent record-setting heatwaves into political momentum for efforts to battle global warming.
It asks Committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-Mich.) to convene a hearing “on the recent wildfires and extreme weather events the United States has experienced and the role global climate change played in these events.”

A heat wave over 1% of the planet must be due to global climate change. As far as the Colorado fires go, the graphic below shows what happened. Most of the Colorado Front Range received heavy rain during the first week of June. Two places didn’t (red circles below) and they got hit by fires later in the month.
No doubt those red circles were caused by global climate change.
Last week, team climate moron was telling us that the record fire season was just starting in Colorado.
There are very few (if any) active fires (red) being seen by satellites in either Colorado or Wyoming, and this fire season is shaping up to be the slowest in a decade, in terms of number of fires.

The number of USHCN record daily July maximums in 2011 was less than one-tenth of 1936, and was just about average. Experts who claim that the number of record high temperatures is unusual, are either wildly incompetent or dishonest – or both.
Temperatures have dropped in Washington State by more than three degrees over the past decade.
The number of record daily highs has been declining since the 1930s, and rarely happen any more.
