   He’s just being extremely misleading. He’s talking about the time it takes surface meltwater to fall down a moulin in the melt zone of a glacier. That process doesn’t cause the glacier to suddenly all melt.

   Fred Pearce must be extremely ignorant and gullible if he believes the cr*p he writes. Maybe he’s just disingenuous?
