Tim Flannery: Just imagine yourself in a world five years from now, when there is no more ice over the Arctic, when we stand under threat of a rapidly warming Arctic Ocean, when we’re starting to see the first destabilisation of the Greenland ice cap, and all of those things happening because we don’t have a solution, because if things advance that rapidly we simply will not have a solution, in terms of reducing emissions. Then you’ve got to start pulling in your last-ditch efforts.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

I have always found it difficult to comprehend how so many people, such as Flannery, can be so bloody stupid to believe any of this crap.
It isn’t stupidity, it is lust and greed, they want this to be true.
And there’s the rub…
Actually he clearly can’t believe it – he purchased 2 exclusive water front properties north of Sydney whilst providing climate alarm advice which caused huge government waste on ridiculous proposals.
These properties will be among the first to go under if all the crap he speaks comes true – it is clearly about the money he has made from gullible politicians.
He made the classic mistake of forgetting to time his prophesy such that it cannot be verified.
He needed a zero on the end.
I never said he believed it, I said he wants it to be true. As you pointed out, he has made a good living off of this fairy tale, and he clearly does not want to see it die. You cannot divine the motives of leftists using logic, you must consider their mental illness and think like a zealot.
The Artic has warmed, hell it’s 21 degrees warmer at Barrow Alaska than here in Cheyenne.
Yes!
Barrow is the recipient of that nice Hawaiian air
that is being send to a dark place where the sun don’t shine
to chill-out.
It is then send it down to Cheyenne to keep things “real cool”!
Blithering idiot. Run him out of town.
Flannery is misunderstood.
He is really a fine writer of science fiction.
The Frank Herbert of the alarmist world.
I once had some time for TEOTWAWKI Tim 15 years ago. I’ve since run out of patience for any alarmist whose solution to an imaginary problem is tax, tax and more tax. He has lost any credibility he ever had just like “Peace in our time” Chamberlain, though the Nazi’s were a real threat.
More global warming alarmism. The total failure of their pseudo-science and the evident lack of actual climatic warming makes a mockery of their wild claims.
