SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. (AP) – The U.S. Coast Guard says it and the crew of a tugboat helped another tugboat break free from between two ice floes in Lake Michigan.
The tug Undaunted was pushing the unloaded barge Pere Marquette 41 at the time it became stuck about 20 miles west of the Mackinac Bridge. The Coast Guard in Sault Ste. Marie responded to a call about 4:10 a.m. Friday and there was concern the tug might run aground.

This morning when I drove across the Mackinac Bridge there was ice from shore to shore. Could have been ice floe and not solid ice, but it was there.
Meanwhile at the bottom of the world the climate scientists looking to prove that sea ice is disappearing due to global warming remain stuck in some “rotten” degraded sea ice.
“It’s remarkable just how much change there’s been,” said Turney. “The ice that’s packed around us is many years old, some is more than 10 years old.”
10 year old sea ice ? – that can’t be right !!

The standard NSIDC BS has been that Antarctic ice doesn’t count, because it almost all melts every summer.
Globe-Al-Gore-Warming at work. Has to be, things like this never happened before. Did they? LOL

Looking forward to the picture after this next couple weeks of below 0 temps in the region.
