USHCN V1 had 0.5F adjustments, which went flat after 1990. The adjustments were upwards, and primarily after 1960.

In USHCN V2.5 the adjustments are three times as large as V1, mostly downwards, and increase exponentially after 1990 – instead of going flat like in V1.
The next graph overlays both. They claim to be using the same TOBS algorithm – which is amazing considering it used to be a positive adjustment, and is now a negative adjustment.
The next image normalizes the two graphs from 1960 to 1997. In this one you can see the massive discontinuity of cheating after 1997.
Next image is normalized to 1998/1999 and shows how they cooled the past 0.4F beyond their original V1 data tampering – in addition to all their post-1997 V2 upwards data tampering.
Settled science at its worst.

The story goes on to say other countries also are not allowed to recover their gold. “when they later tried to cash in those certificates and reclaim their gold, they were told the certificates were fake…”
In a way it is funny. The bankers (along with their conjoined twins, the politicians) have been foisting a rigged game upon the public for a thousand years. And now, some of the big banks were so foolish as to entrust their gold to other bankers. The result? Their gold has been stolen! I can just picture some German banker pounding his fist on the table, screaming, “I am outraged! Outraged!! How dare they? They have done the same thing to us that we do to our depositors!”

They will adjust whatever they nead to adjust to keep their streak of above normal months alive. That is probably the most dubious streak on record.

If you look at the station metadata and the actual applied TOB adjustment, many times they don’t jive. It may be they have employed an algorithm devised by DeGaetano to infer TOB in the record. Hence the TOB adjustment differences in the newer versions of USHCN.

The institutions that really need audit are those that are responsible for looking after the global thermometer-based data, like NOAA and NASA. During the writing of my latest paper on the Arctic temperature patterns based on thermometer (and not this theoretical monster called ‘global temperature’ which needs killing without prejudice!) I came across the latest version update of GHCN which not only updated temperatures for the Arctic region between 2003 and 2013, but consistently changed historical data between 1890?s to 2003 as well!!!! Please check http://www.l4patterns.com/Data_and_Knowledge.html and the brief report there “Constant and systematic abuse of the historical thermometer-based data by the curators of those datasets: NASA, NOAA and GHCN”. It is an example of the scientific fraud of the greatest proportions. If any of you have datasets accessed via KNMI software do check your datasets before March 1 2014 and the same datasets since.
