Last summer, NOAA predicted a very active Atlantic hurricane season. It turned out to be the quietest in decades.
Then they forecast a warm winter, which turned out to be coldest in decades.

Their forecasting ability for the current year may be zero, but that doesn’t mean they can’t make expert forecasts for 100 years from now.
Its been cold here in North Texas, todays high was 56 normal 73
Don’t worry by the time Hansen the ‘Climate Chiropractor’ gets finished adjusting the data you will find it was the ‘Fifth warmest spring Evah!’
All they need to do is maintain their rubbish forecast of equal chance of unusual warmth, cold, snow, rain and average weather until 2100. They seem to have it all covered, except asteroids.. 😉
And mile high glaciers sitting on D.C.
NOAA is Obama’s right hand.
Maybe they should stop tampering with data and blaming everything on CO2. Just a suggestion.
WHAT! and give up looting the serfs??!!
Government isn’t worth Shinola at ANYTHING they do. They are paid to spew political garbage, not to do science. Nobody with any sense at all believes ANYTHING that any government employee ever says about anything. And of course, Their Boss is the worst liar of the bunch.
I had the great misfortune to work for a recently retired government bureaucrat. He was so busy playing politics he could not see the trap set in front of him. We got him fired within a couple of months. He tried to fire me and it backfired big time.
I really really hate office politics.
Gail love the ‘Climate Chiropractor’ spit coffee everywhere “thanks”
I stole it from the top of the page. I though Steve had really nailed it with that description of taking a sine curve and turning it into a straight line.
Is that “crack” as in “crackhead”?
certainly seems so when you talk about the current US government.
All it takes to cover Canada with a mile thick ice sheet is for it to snow an inch or two more each winter than melts each summer. This year we are already doing ice sheet weather. We just don’t know if it will continue every year.

Just like the utterly useless Met Office in the UK they are not embarrassed by their crappy forecasts because that’s what their government have paid for – warming – no matter how it’s achieved during freeing. It’s free beer tomorrow.
