The climate is ruined. So can civilization even survive? – CNN.com

Global warming has destroyed civilization.

Meanwhile, back in the Washington DC area, lawmakers are dealing with the coldest 13 month period since 1941, and fifth coldest on record.

When is CNN moving it’s HQ to Antarctica?

    • Gail Combs says:

CNN is HQed in the loony bin.

The founder of CNN is Ted ‘Kill 95% of Humanity’ Turner.

    • philjourdan says:

The ratings are driving them there.

CNN Closes 2014 With All-Time Low Ratings

Playing “Twilight Zone” with a missing airliner and spreading lies to gin up riots in the predominantly black, working class city of Ferguson did absolutely nothing to stop CNN’s freefall in the ratings. Under Jeff Zucker, 2014 was nothing short of a catastrophe for the left-wing cable network.

2014 was the year of false narratives at CNN, and because no one likes to be lied to, viewers went elsewhere.

According to Deadline, during the all-important primetime hours, CNN’s total viewers hit an all-time low. With the even more-important news demo (viewers aged 25-54) in primetime, CNN hit its second-lowest level ever. In total day viewers, CNN again collapsed to an all-time low in the news demo.

Zucker’s unspoken but obvious decision to turn CNN into a hard-left network obsessed with race-baiting, identity politics, and heartless, mean-girl Palin-bashing mixed with Christian-bashing has backfired spectacularly….

Viewers have voted with their feet.

It is part of my cable bouquet here in Cape Town and I haven’t watched it in three years. Not only is it poorly presented and full of non news programs but the total leftward bias is just puke inducing.

I have no idea what the domestic ( American ) version looks like but the International version is just pointless.

In the New York Times today is this: A team of researchers reported that sea levels did not rise quite as much as previously believed in the 20th century, possibly explaining a discrepancy in climate research.

    HAHAHAHA.

They are now beginning to admit the seas are not rising!!! They can’t figure out why!!!!!!!!!

Everything warmist is collapsing rapidly as the planet cools.

  3. LeeHarvey says:

Hilarious – embedded in the CNN article is a link to a story stating that a 4 degree temperature rise will kill off 90% of the world’s population. Thing is, the link sends the reader back here.

Tony, I think you have a subversive fan within the ranks at CNN.

  4. It was a no good climate. Good that it’s gone.

  5. richard says:

With a world population increasing 1.4 million a week. Worldwide, 2014 , a bumper year for agriculture feeding the world on farmland that has been decreasing since 1998. I would say civilization is thriving.

  6. An Inquirer says:

Again, deaths to endangered species come more from the cold, not the heat. Here is a story from Louisiana:

Exposure to extreme cold can be deadly, even to animals, and two critically endangered cotton-top tamarins — monkeys endemic to Colombia that require temperatures in the mid-70s to survive — succumbed to frigid weather at the Alexandria Zoological Park in Louisiana last week. Their caretaker “overlooked” them, city officials told the Associated Press.

Zoos typically go to great lengths to protect their animals from cold extremes. “Zookeepers have freeze plans and protocols for animals just like cities do for humans,” Brenda Walkenhorst, director of education and volunteers at the Audubon Zoo, also in Louisiana, wrote in 2011. “Zookeepers spend a lot of time putting up plastic sheeting and making sure heat lamps work to keep all the animals warm and healthy.”

At the Smithsonian National Zoological Park, for instance, animals have access to the cold if they want it, or can remain in warm, heated enclosures. Sometimes temps drop so low it’s too chilly for even the unlikeliest of creatures. In January 2014, the outside air in Chicago got so cold that the Lincoln Park Zoo’s polar bear, Anana, even opted to stay inside.

  7. Warren D. Walker says:

From he article, “Editor’s Note: David Ray Griffin is emeritus professor of philosophy of religion at Claremont School of Theology and Claremont Graduate University. His most recent book is Unprecedented: Can Civilization Survive the CO2 Crisis?”

He is not a scientist so not part of the “Consensus” – but just as accurate as the Pope.

  9. Dave N says:

Since it’s “ruined”, perhaps they’ll stop wasting time, money and words about fixing it?

    Bahahahahaha!!. I crack me up.

  10. Dave N says:

Apparently it’s not ruined as much as it can be, because otherwise they wouldn’t be doing this:

I say “bring it”; alarmists would be absolutely trounced in a fair court.

  11. DakotaKid says:

Algore promised global warming, and in North Dakota I am looking forward to it.

  12. One thing to note about David Ray Griffin, he’s not just a Warmist, but a notorious and leading 9/11 Truther, having authored many books and given many speeches on the subject. He’s continuously cited by other Truthers. This is whom CNN gave a platform to.

Of course, since both are fake issues…

  13. AlaskaHound says:

Eventually the distance between the planets surface and the tropopause hits the minimum and this cycle ends and the next one begins 😉

  14. Beale says:

The threat to civilization is from those who want to eliminate fossil fuels.
Notice that the author has no trouble believing Bill McKibben (!) when he says the Arctic has melted. See for yourself, Mr. Griffin.
