There is no correlation between atmospheric CO2 and sea level rise rates. They have nothing to do with each other.

  2. Steve Case says:

The Sea Level Research Group at Colorado University has 22 years of sea level data from satellites. From 1992 to 2004 the rate of sea level rise was 3.5 mm/yr and from 2004 to 2014 the rate has been 2.9 mm/yr. That works out to a negative acceleration of minus -0.05mm/yr².

  3. Dave Lowry says:

I think that climate is influencing ocean levels as oceans are influencing climate. To see a bit from the past century’s sea levels and ocean evolution, you can go to http://www.arctic-warming.com and read a bit about the way the oceans have influenced climate in the past and how they can influence the climate in the future.
