I see this line of reasoning almost every day

The only way that Steve Goddard’s evidence of data tampering could be correct, is if there was a giant conspiracy of all the world’s scientists.

Therefore Goddard must be just one of the thousands of Koch Brothers funded conspiracy nuts.

    Two points about this:
    1. Climate Conniption is a pagan cult religion. Religions can spread far and wide, and believers don’t need to meet and plot a conspiracy because they simply are indoctrinated into the cult.
    2. The entire climate scam is supported by a few handfuls of people at NOAA, GISS, NCDC, Berkely, and The CRU. Without their temperature scammery, the story falls apart. There would be no story of warming if even a few of these groups of people are investigated and replaced by legitimate scientists.

    Steve, has just been dutiful in doing so. and for that we should appreciate his efforts.
    Anyone who wants to challenge his tremendous amount of work should simply do so
    by making the effort. (and being honest)

      yeah, I love that fallacy/strawman. I blame all the lazy ones for not vetting the data they are basing their papers on. Any couple of real scientists would do the papers, look at the results, and then plow the data field to see if their inputs are bent.

      But then, that would end the gravy train. On top of that they can always cop out with the plaint that it’s “not their fault” the data was phony. “I mean, it came for normally trustworthy sources. How was I to know?” Ya can see that one coming from miles away.

      Government funded climastrologists in western countries are evaluating thermometer readings for God’s sake, not looking for the Higgs Boson. Why are they incapable of correctly recording and averaging empirical simple empirical data that most 9 year olds can handle? And why aren’t you royally pissed off and disgusted that these witch doctors refuse to properly assess the most basic and rudimentary of empirical data and follow the scientific method?

      Please feel free to disagree. But if you do, explain the witch doctors find it necessary to fabricate more than 30% of the temperature readings in this country. And also please explain the scientific validity behind the multiple adjustments to the empirical thermometer data that always have the effect of cooling the past and warming the present.

      It’s put up or shut up time Dave N! Explain to us why this is not fraud.

    As someone who worked for years in ‘policy’ and ‘advice’ I think that’s one of the funnier things I ever read. The qualities that take you forward as ‘policy adviser’ are not the qualities that help you to succeed in science. To put it bluntly, people who do well in policy advice are by and large people who are willing to make the figures/facts say whatever the politician/career loon wants to hear. Hope that helps.

          Leave religion out of it.

          I realize it is a large part of who you are but it wins zero points with many people. Stick to the facts as much as you can. Other wise you, and by your association with this site, Steve Goddard will be labeled as nuts and marginalized.

          We can not be afforded to be marginalized Steve’s message is too important. We need to wake the sleeping giant that is America.
