Agree 100% so much knowledge has been lost. Knowledge is what dictators fear the most.

The books/papers were mildewed. The state people took what they wanted and told her to dispose of the rest. The historical society found a place to store the material and arrived to pick it up only to find it had already been burned….
I can just see something happening to my husband and I, our heirs coming in and finding most of my leather saddles, bridles and harnesses mildewed form the damp summer we just had so they destroy everything. They would have destroyed well over $10,000 of perfectly good high quality equipment that a bit of elbow grease could save. (I am highly allergic to mildew so cleaning everything is very slow going even with a mask.)

NCDC’s global temperature dataset for 1880-2014 has been improved with 122 changes from their previous 1880-2013 dataset, including a warming of 2013 and a cooling of 2011.
As a result, what would have been a decadal trend over 4 years of about +0.14°C is now +0.51°C, higher that the IPCCs most dire projections.
This scientific advancement not only made Obama honest, it made him prescient.

I have been pondering this, and actively questioning many of them about it. I seems clear that the answer is, incredibly, no.
It is quite difficult, for some, to ever admit they may have been mistaken about anything.
