The percentage of days with extreme heat or cold in the US has declined sharply since the 1930’s.
US tornadoes have been at a record low for the past 3+ years. US hurricanes are at a record low. US major hurricanes are at a record low. More of the country is wet than dry.
Every major climate indicator shows that the US is experiencing an unusually mild period – the exact opposite of what Obama claims.
Of course Obama lies. It is lies and only lies that support Big Government. Obama is such a committed socialist that he must lie all the time. He lies that catastrophic man-made global warming is happening and that man-made global warming is a greater threat than terrorism. In fact, man-made global warming would likely be a boon to a growing human population whose food needs will grow and who constantly demonstrate they would rather live in warmer than colder parts of the USA. Even the alarmist claims of temperature increases over 100 years would be no worse than a few local problems offset by much greater global benefits. But when the physics is wrong, the models based on that physics will prove to be wrong empirically as has been established.
That certainly seems to be true in my neck of the woods.
Extreme cold has recently been been far more prevalent than extreme warmth, as these last two winters have set tons of cold records. But even so, every idiot knows that an Ice Age is entirely consistent with catastrophic Mann-made warming.

Every bit of weather is within the boundaries of “normal”. Nothing “Catastrophic” has happened, or is going to happen; (other than the US economic system, as we pay for more useless science and bilge programs and continue down a path towards fiscal collapse). I get the feeling that the government is more than happy to focus on weather events to keep the citizens eye off the real problems.
