The millennial cycle peaked in 2003 and the earth has been cooling since then. See

Dr. Page.
Thank you for the references, in particular the second one. Glanced through it, Now I
have something new to digest. It will take awhile.
Also of interest, it appears the AMO reached its peak in 2003 and now is in a cooling phase.
No info on others, in particular the PDO

There is a 12 year lag between the peak in solar activity in 1991 (See Fig 14 in the previous link)
http://climatesense-norpag.blogspot.com/2014/07/climate-forecasting-methods-and-cooling.html
and the temperature peak in 2003.
There is a breakdown through an important threshold in solar activity in 2005-6 ( See Fig 13) which should show up as a steepening in the cooling trend in 2017-2018
I hope so…even if for no other reason than I will be able to show a climate alarmist a graph containing a cooling trend and an increase in CO2 level….and watch their head go around on their shoulders as they say …but, but, but….

nielszoo . Yes. I get to pretty much the same place a completely different ( and I think simpler ) way
Thanks for the link Norman I’ll look over it some more later but it’s right up my street, having studied control theory at university.
All I have been able to say about the climate so far is that if we assume it correct to view climate as a system trying to achieve equilibrium which suits the conditions for life (and perhaps that is a mistaken assumption*) then from a control point of view it would be impossible to even think about defining any parameters without paying close attention to the sun’s activity
*We do tend to have this notion, perhaps from a religious standing, that earth is ‘supposed’ to be ideal for humans and other animals, because ‘a god’ created it for us. That meme sometimes seems to stretch into science too.
“Over a period of five days, the southern Algerian city of Tamanrasset has received 45mm of rain. That is a remarkable amount of rain simply because it is more than is expected in an entire year.
Tamanrasset sits in a wadi, or valley, of the Ahhagar massif, a large volcanic mountain range in the Sahara Desert. Much of this massif is a national park and contains the famous hermitage site of Assekrem.
Assekrem is high in the mountains, 2,700 metres above sea level, and has an annual rainfall of 118mm. Surprisingly, this is almost three times as much as Tamanrasset which sits at a lower 1,400 metres.
Assekrem, in the same five days between March 19 and 24, exceeded its annual rainfall expectation, with 130mm caught in the rain gauge. This represents 110 per cent of average annual rainfall, as calculated from a respectable 50-year archive.
Mountains are good producers of rain, as they force air to rise, cool and release its moisture. In the Sahara though, it is usually too dry to have enough moisture to release.
This March, enough water vapour made it from the Atlantic, across the western desert, to make the Algerian wadis green. Satellite pictures still show the long streak of cloud, stretching from Guinea to Libya, which gave the rain.
The rain has now stopped in the Ahhagar mountains, but there are still unusually early showers showing up in the sahel, in Niger and Mali.”

Just for fun the AMO plus PDO and the effect on Drought (Don’t tell Govenor Moonbat.)

How can central CA always be in a drought
It is a desert.
However it does get more water when the PDO and AMO are both positive. That was the state from ~1980 to ~2000. What Californians now consider ‘normal’ They are in for quite a shock when both the PDO and AMO goes hard negative and the sun goes very quiet. (No rainy pattern EL Ninos link)
A forward thinking leader with honest scientists advising him would be putting in thorium nuclear plants and desalinization. (Get the Israelis to help) Instead since water is one of the United Nations Agenda 21 “Talking Points” they use Eco-nut protests to have dams pulled out and no new dams built. Don’t Forget the LIAR Peter Glieck is a ‘water expert’
BTW, if you manage to follow the information ren is trying to convey about the Earth’s climate, going forward the earth will be leaving the ‘Goldilock weather patterns’ and getting into much nastier patterns. Since the USA deliberatelytrashed*** our food safety net, things could be getting rather interesting.
*** Dan Amstutz wrote the draft of the WTO Agreement on Agriculture and the Draft of the Freedom to Farm bill under Reagan but the drafts were put into effect under Clinton. Dan Amstutz worked for Cargill (grain traders) and Goldman Sachs (linked to the 2008 food crisis) Dan Amstutz was also president of the North American Export Grain Association.
World food prices soared in 2007-08, pushing hundreds of millions into poverty and causing food riots riots in more than 60 countries, all thanks to Amstutz and his friends manipulations. So they named an award after the B@$t@rd!
In other words Amstutz worked to put money into the pockets of the grain traders and their buddies so you get headlines like this:
2010: ADM profits soar 550 percent as ethanol margins improve
2011: Record profits for Cargill… a 63% increase… Cargill benefited from disruptions in global food supplies
2012: Monsanto posts record second quarter, sales jump 15 percent
2012 (3rd quarter): Monsanto posts record $8.6B in sales
Cosmic radiation is growing again.

Gawd, that looks like my pump house. We bought this place a decade ago and I’m still afraid to try and rip it out and fix it.
Was there not a kerfuffle about slanting graphs several years ago with Dr. Morner (sp) having to do with sea level?
Now, back to satellite altimetry, which shows the water, not just the coasts, but in the whole of the ocean. And you measure it by satellite. From 1992 to 2002, [the graph of the sea level] was a straight line, variability along a straight line, but absolutely no trend whatsoever. We could see those spikes: a very rapid rise, but then in half a year, they fall back again. But absolutely no trend, and to have a sea-level rise, you need a trend. Then, in 2003, the same data set, which in their [IPCC’s] publications, in their website, was a straight line—suddenly it changed, and showed a very strong line of uplift, 2.3 mm per year, the same as from the tide gauge. And that didn’t look so nice. It looked as though they had recorded something; but they hadn’t recorded anything. It was the original one which they had suddenly twisted up, because they entered a “correction factor,” which they took from the tide gauge. So it was not a measured thing, but a figure introduced from outside. I accused them of this at the Academy of Sciences in Moscow— I said you have introduced factors from outside; it’s not a measurement. It looks like it is measured from the satellite, but you don’t say what really happened. And they answered, that we had to do it, because otherwise we would not have gotten
any trend!

This interview is the smoking gun of sea level tampering. Well worth the read.
No wonder they absolutely hate him.
If you look up his Wiki page, they give zero info on his education, but do mention his belief in dowsing, in the first paragraph, with a link to a Wiki page on dowsing. The Wiki page treats dowsing like witchcraft.
My father, out of curiosity took two copper rods and bent them at 90 degrees to create a pair of dowsing rods. He had seen old timers dowse successfully, people who drilled wells for a living. The first thing we discovered were the locations of all the water lines under the house. I used them to find my neighbors connections to the water main, verifying this by later locating water meters. I cannot explain how it works, but it does, and I am not alone in conducting experiments on dowsing, and verifying its reality.
“Researchers analyzed the successes and failures of dowsers in attempting to locate water at more than 2000 sites in arid regions of Sri Lanka, Zaire, Kenya, Namibia and Yemen over a 10-year period. To do this, researchers teamed geological experts with experienced dowsers and then set up a scientific study group to evaluate the results. Drill crews guided by dowsers didn’t hit water every time, but their success rate was impressive. In Sri Lanka, for example, they drilled 691 holes and had an overall success rate of 96 percent.
“In hundreds of cases the dowsers were able to predict the depth of the water source and the yield of the well to within 10 percent or 20 percent,” says Hans-Dieter Betz, a physicist at the University of Munich, who headed the research group.
“We carefully considered the statistics of these correlations, and they far exceeded lucky guesses,” he says. What’s more, virtually all of the sites in Sri Lanka were in regions where the odds of finding water by random drilling were extremely low. As for a USGS notion that dowsers get subtle clues from the landscape and geology, Betz points out that the underground sources were often more than 100 ft. deep and so narrow that misplacing the drill only a few feet would mean digging a dry hole.”

Yes, they absolutely hat Dr Morner and even lie about dowsing in attempts to smear him.
Perhaps the water stream induces a magnetic field? Some people are very sensitive to changes in the magnetic field.
That has been a hypothesis of mine as well.
Although water is diamagnetic, copper isn’t….for a better effect iron would be an improvement

“Always listen to experts. They’ll tell you what can’t be done, and why. Then do it.”

Heinlein is one of my favorite authors, thanks for the quote.
I do dowsing. This is how I found my own well on my mountain. The well digger guys thought I was crazy but soon after drilling, the well overflowed and ran overflowing for ten years.
Dowsing requires being VERY relaxed. Any tension and the human interferes with the dowsing.
I’ve always wanted to believe in dowsing….perhaps because if dowsing is real then it is unequivocal proof of the existence of an as yet undefined force of nature….but….I don’t see much proof…

Once again we see Dawkins barking in front of a Carnival tent, and not conducting a real world experiment. But what happens in the real world?

So in one of the driest places on Earth, in a real world experiment and not some tent set up with boxes of water on top of God knows what, the success rate was 96%.
As CAGW skeptics we have seen the trickery of ‘lab tests’ and recognize the value of real world observations.

They probably had to delete the pages to make room for AGW nonsense
IN FACT !!!!
The work is supposedly published by people involved in ghostbusting…from their web page
“The Society for Scientific Exploration (SSE) is a professional organization of scientists and scholars who study unusual and unexplained phenomena. Subjects often cross mainstream boundaries, such as consciousness, unidentified aerial phenomena, and alternative medicine, yet often have profound implications for human knowledge and technology.”
An interesting bunch of people for sure ! Not really mainstream science.
I wonder if there is any really well recognised study on the matter ?
It’s not that I doubt it works…I KNOW that it works because whenever I want to find water I point my divining rods at the water taps and walk in that direction 😉
On the subject of adjusted data…anyone seen the next, anticipated OCO2 data posted anywhere yet?
Not personally, but it will definitely show the annual variation caused by the dieback and regrowth of flora and fauna on the planet. It just seems like a no brainer that there is a little overshoot every year of growth and that produces the rising trend we see.
If you still will be so much rain in the Sahara, it will soon be green.

To Arabic-speaking people, sharia (/????ri???/;[1] also shari’a, shar??ah; Arabic: ?????? šar??ah, IPA: [?a?ri??a], “legislation”) means the moral code and religious law of a prophetic religion.[2][3][4] The term “sharia” has been largely identified with Islam in English usage.[5]
Sharia (Islamic law) deals with several topics including: crime, politics, and economics, as well as personal matters such as sexual intercourse, hygiene, diet, prayer, everyday etiquette and fasting..
