President Obama Takes Climate CynicismTo A Spectacular New Level

President Barack Obama says that 2014 was the hottest year on record, and that this was evidenced by 45 million Americans experiencing 100 degree temperatures. He says this is a “fact.”

FACT: 2014 was the hottest year on record. | whitehouse.gov

In fact, last summer was one of the coolest on record in the US, with just over 20% of the US reaching 100 degrees. Normally that number is closer to 40%. In 1936, three quarters of US stations reached 100 degrees.

The entire US was blistering hot in the summer of 1936. Ninety-eight percent of midwest stations reached 100 degrees, compared to less than 2% last summer. During July, 1936 parts of the country averaged a mind-boggling 12 degrees above normal.

Globally, temperatures were nowhere near the hottest on record, and have been on a downwards trend for 18 years.

The president is intentionally misleading Americans, telling them the exact opposite of what is actually happening. This is not the first time this has happened.

  1. Hey, those 45 million may have just happened to ALL live in that 20%….

    • Doug says:

45 million is only about 14% of the population. It’s all about how you choose your words. Had he said “only 14% of the population experienced 100 degree days” it wouldn’t sound like much, would it?

    • Yep, what a load of shit… real “Progressive Scientific” way to measure Climate Change… seriously .. these people act like kids, 3rd grade Math …

      What a bogus stat… totally bogus “Standard”…

    • emsnews says:

He was mainly referring to LA and the Sacramento Valley people. They are ‘the entire universe’ especially Malibu and Santa Barbara.

  2. “..Temperature records,
    How is temperature measured?
    Not using the principals
    That should always be treasured.
    The temperatures required?
    Politically dictated;
    The halls of good science
    By charlatans infiltrated…”

There is not one word of truth coming out of this administration or any other administration in the Western world.
Start rethinking conspiracy theories. Nothing is what they want us to believe. Nothing. It is a conspiracy against We The People.

  4. These are his facts , as he stated in a previous press conference .
Truth is a different story , why are facts and truch 2 different words ?
These words were not even developed by Obama , so why blame him for any misunderstanding ?
Also in the Bush the way to hell is paved with good intentions , or is there something mean in the meaning of these words , wbich are fully meaningless spoken by the wrong mouth .

  5. Jason Calley says:

Hey Robertv! “There is not one word of truth coming out of this administration or any other administration in the Western world.”

Yes, the only time they say something true is when they slip up, or when they think no one can hear them. Information — TRUE information — is power! These people are power addicts. They do not think like you or I do. They are addicted to power just like a crack ho’ is addicted to crack. They tell lies instinctively, reflexively, without shame or second thoughts. Why do they do that? Because every bit of true information they give out, weakens their ability to manipulate and control. In any interaction between two or more people, the person (or people) with the least information, or with the most erroneous beliefs, is at a disadvantage. This is such a basic fact that every used car buyer understands it. Sadly we are up against not some simple but unscrupulous used car salesman. We are up against Olympic class liars. Our politicians have won the Gold Medal of lying, and the pay off is unfettered control of the most powerful nation on earth.

Don’t believe them. Not about CAGW, not about economics, not about terrorists, not about ANYTHING!

      Fixed it for you.

Gator, there are times I think you are wrong — but this isn’t one of them! 🙂

You may already be familiar with this video about tax slavery: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k67_imEHTPE

        • gator69 says:

          Wrong? Never. 😉

Taxes are a necessary evil. I object to unnecessary evil.

The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg. … Reason and free enquiry are the only effectual agents against error.
          -Thomas Jefferson

If you do not agree with Jefferson, we may disagree, but it does not make me wrong.

        • Jason Calley says:

Disagree with Jefferson? Ain’t going to happen!

Seriously, I have spent quite a few years discussing politics with the anarchist crowd, real anarchists, the ones who disavow all aggression and who have taken “you mind your business and I’ll mind mine” to its logical end point. Still, I keep coming back to Jeffersonian minarchism; small government, “small enough to strangle in its crib” if the need be, with only a very small and limited area of power. The anarchists do, in fact have a level of moral purity which I admire — “if small government is good, then NO government is best!” — but I honestly do not think that we humans are capable en mass of the high level of ethics which it requires. Jeffersonian small government has its problems too, the most apparent of which is the tendency for small government (like Topsy) to “just grow”. Still, I think Jefferson had it right. We have certain rights just by virtue of being sentient humans. Small government is not perfect, but is (considering how we humans presently are constituted) the best approach we have to ensuring those rights. If we ever succeed in getting the bulk of humanity to the point that small government works, then, maybe, we can experiment with no government at all…

        • Snowleopard says:

          @ Jason
Jefferson (and the founders) had what seemed to be a good idea, radical for its time, and they fought to give it a chance. It has had its chance and failed. Governments by their nature, grow their power, and an organization with enough power is like a septic tank, the scum rises to the top. It took them awhile but the elite now control almost everything worth the effort to control. It doesn’t really matter if you want mini government or peaceful anarchy. You can’t get there from here!

We now have a government that “farms” productive citizens for the profit of the elite, somewhat like ants farm aphids, but with less care. The elite will not let that go easily. Changing it peacefully is not possible, and an attempt at violent change, supposedly successful or not, leads to a more violent (ie.worse) government with the elite still in control.

I do not think it’s an accident that our schools and media (and fluoride etc) have dumbed down average citizens so they cannot even imagine life without government, let alone step up to the individual responsibility that living without government would require. Even if they were ready, the present government will not let large numbers of citizens publicly ignore it. A promoted attempt at peaceful anarchy any time soon will likely fill a few new prisons in the american gulag.

  6. Mohatdebos says:

This is the same Administration that is blaming the slowdown in the U.S. economy on “bitterly cold winter.”

  7. Corrupt politicians like Obama flip climate to make a buck. UN and politicians are just change agents for Rockefeller, Rothschild. Depleting nations through EPA regulations, eroneous taxation of property and natural resources.

    • Gail Combs says:

      Speaking of the Rothschilds…

Was Karl Marx and his philosophy about helping the ‘down-trodden’ or was it really about re-enslaving the middle class that had escaped serfdom? My comment on the Karl Marx and the Rothschild/Aristocracy connection.

  8. jbenton2013 says:

There’s no doubt about it, Obama’s going to down as the worst president America has ever had. Even George W Bush was a colossus by comparison.

  9. Cornelius says:

Interesting that he states as a “fact” that 2014 was the hottest year on record, when the GISS (even after their endless adjustments and imaginary temperatures) stated that it was most likely not.

  10. gator69 says:

Delingpole has a great anniversary piece on the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, and the lies Obama used for the leftist agenda…

Five years ago today the Guardian was celebrating one of the most glorious moments in left-wing history since the erection of the Berlin Wall. I refer, of course, to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill – a tragedy which the Guardian and the rest of the left-liberal media milked so hard that had it been a cow it would almost certainly have had to be put down by a vet, quite likely causing the newspaper’s environment team to be imprisoned for gross animal cruelty and beaten with rubber truncheons by black-uniformed officers of the RSPCA.

We need a million more journalists like Delingpole.

    • Winnipeg Boy says:

I couldn’t bring myself to read the story but here is a headline on generic google news page “Climate change could kill 1 in 6 of Earth’s species”

Is ‘Politician” a species? If so, our odds are getting better.

      • gator69 says:

Smart of you not to fill your head with CAGWBS. Here are the facts…

As long as species have been evolving, species have been going extinct. It is estimated that over 99.9% of all species that ever lived are extinct.

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extinction

List of all species that may have gone extinct since the invention of “CAGW”…

1979 – Last sightings of the Javan tiger.
1981 – The Puhielelu hibiscadelphus becomes extinct.
1981 – Last sighting of the green-blossom pearlymussel
        – The 24-rayed sunstar.
        1985 – The platypus frog
        1989 – The golden toad
        – The Atitlán grebe
1990 – The dusky seaside sparrow
        1994 – Saint Croix racer
        1997 – The Hainan ormosia

Ten in forty years. How many species are there? Good question!

About 8.7 million (give or take 1.3 million) is the new, estimated total number of species on Earth.

        http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/08/110823180459.htm

So they are predicting 1,450,000 species extinctions? Well, at the current rate, that would take 5,800,000 years 😆

Alarmists just aren’t real good with math. Maybe instead of using models, they should try a calculator.

        • Neal S says:

Got to offset those things with MAY have gone extinct with those things that had been thought extinct, but then had been sighted again. While I don’t keep track of these, I recall there have been several over the last couple of decades. Perhaps even enough to offset that list of possible extinctions.

        • gator69 says:

That is exactly why I said may have gone exitnct.

  11. omanuel says:

LIES, LIES and more LIES has been the science policy since frightened world leaders agreed to unite nations (UN) and national academies of science (NAS) on 24 Oct 1945 to hide the force of fragmentation (destruction) that causes cores of heavy atoms and stars to

    1. Fission or
    2. Emit neutrons

    Neutron Repulsion

    • omanuel says:

LIE #1: Interstellar hydrogen (H) collapses into H-fusion reactors (stars)

LIE #2: The short-range nuclear force between neutrons is attractive.

FACT #1: Stars generate H by neutron-emission and n-decay and discard H to interstellar space in stellar winds blowing away from the star.

FACT #2: The short-range nuclear force between neutrons is repulsive and becomes dominant in all atoms, some planets, stars and galaxies heavier than ~150 amu (atomic mass units).

      • omanuel says:

To show that the deception is purposeful, just ask any of the 97% consensus scientists (including Nobel or Crafoord Prize winners, the heads of any federal research agencies, or ordinary members of any NAS, worldwide) to explain why:

        1. The internal composition of the Sun was unanimously changed by mainstream astronomers and astrophysicists from:

_ a.) Mostly iron (Fe) on 1945 to
        _ b.) Mostly hydrogen (H) in 1946

        2. Textbooks of nuclear physics changed the definitation of nuclear stability from:

_ a.) Minimum value of Aston’s nuclear packing fraction before WWII
_ b.) Maximum value of Weizsacker’s average nuclear binding energy per nucleon after WWII

        3. Weizsacker’s nuclear binding energy is higher for many radioactive neutron-rich isobars than for their stable proton-rich decay products, but Aston’s nuclear packing fraction always correctly identifies the more stable product from the radioactive parent, e.g.,

        _ a.) H-3 =>He-3
        _ b.) C-14 => N-14
        _ c.) I-129 => Xe-129

[Weizsacker’s nuclear binding energy purposely exaggerates the force of repulsion between protons by minimizing the force of repulsion between neutrons. Aston’s nuclear packing faction correctly considers all nuclear forces and therefore always yields the correct answer.

  12. KTM says:

Skeptics need to remain vigilant in rebutting these deceptions. Regardless of global temps US temps are on a decade long cooling trend so making claims about US temps is utter nonsense. If skeptics don’t point this out every time such deceptions are broadcast then they can say anything and get away with it.

  13. DanMan says:

We were talking about how hot it was in 2011 during the drought in Texas and my mom told us about the summer of 1936 in Dallas. A few of the things she recalled:

Watching the big thermometer at the Texas Centennial State Fair register 113 degrees
Hearing about people dying of heat stroke while sitting in traffic
Pushing their beds out into the night air to sleep

My parents moved to Houston after WWII and I recall we got our first air conditioner when my dad wanted to sell the little house we lived in. In 1959 he hung a window unit in it and we were in total bliss.

  14. gofer says:

Notice they never quote the data. Who wants to think 2/100 degree with 38% confidence level is alarming? No its HOTTEST ever.

More likely it just proves once again the White House has a selective memory which is probably less than 5 minutes long.( like a lot of politicians world wide)

  16. Streetcred says:

It is a FACT that Obambala and his ‘administration’ is the most corrupt and unethical in the history of US politics. And you can take that to the Bank !
