Read My Lips : No New Carbon

In 1988. Hansen laid out three global warming scenarios. Scenario C assumed that no new CO2 was put in the atmosphere after the year 2000.

We are 15 years past that date, and atmospheric temperatures are below Scenario C. Temperatures are below what Hansen predicted would occur with no new CO2.

Hansen’s theory is dead. The science is settled. Time to bring this scam to an end.

Fantastic find! I look forward to hearing about it on the National News tonight.

  2. Steve Case says:

Maybe NBC will bring Brian Williams out of exile to tell us he was in the room when Dr. Hansen made the prediction.

I think I just saw a flying pig.

  4. sfx2020 says:

The term used in the top part of figure 3, “Estimated temperatures during Altithermal and Eemian Times “,

Do you know what Altithermal means? Real climate researchers do. It’s shorthand for “a Holocene thermal maximum”, which varies from location to location, but it is the time period in the recent past when temperatures were much higher than at present. The altithermal times is around4,5000 years “before present” in the US great plains. It was hot, and dry. Much worse than anything we see presently.

  5. sfx2020 says:

That should be “around 4.500 years”. Stupid typo

  6. QV says:

The same could be said about IPCC AR4 scenario “C” which have effectively matched observations since the year 2000.
I don’t think there is an equivalent scenario in AR5.

  7. Winnipeg Boy says:

So we have exceeded their expectations on keeping the temperatures down. We should celebrate a job well done. Perhaps another Nobel for Obama.

  8. omanuel says:

“Hansen’s theory is dead. The science is settled. Time to bring this scam to an end.”

I agree with your assessment, but it won’t happen because AGW, SSM, BBC, etc. are all part of the same post-WWII Nobel-Prize-Winning Lie:

Science became a propaganda tool to control the human species, rather than to advance human understanding of nature after frightened world leaders – including Joseph Stalin and Pope Pious XII – agreed to unite nations (UN) and national academies of science (NAS) on 24 Oct 1945!

George Orwell recognized the plan and moved from London to the Scottish Isle of Jura in 1946 to start writing Nineteen Eighty-Four.

    • Rosco says:

They make nice whisky in Jura – “Superstition – subtly sweet yet smoky – 43 %” !

All gone sadly – have to break out the Talisker at 45 %. Can’t afford to replace the Abelour A’bunadh at 59.5% – Oh well.

  9. KTM says:

They say that global temperatures have risen by 0.6 degrees in the last century, and here we have a bold prediction by the world’s most celebrated climate scientist that MISSED real-world temperatures by 0.7 degrees over just a quarter-century. If it continues to track Scenario C, then over the next 5 years his prediction will have missed by 0.9 degrees, another 0.2 miss in just 5 years.

The wheels are coming off the global warming bandwagon, if they had any credibility they would get ahead of this collapse and admit they were wrong so we can all get on with our lives.

  10. inMAGICn says:

The problem remains: we can point all this out until we are blue in the face and it makes little difference. Even if you got Hansen to admit his predictions were off, the next thing he would say is: “So what? We’re winning.”

    • KTM says:

Yes winning. But does anyone else find it absurd for a 2 pack a day smoker to lecture the rest of us about how our electricity use gave his child asthma? Whether that is a politically resonating argument or not at some point I have to believe that there are enough people out there that can see past the phony baloney and reality will win out.

        ASTHMATICS HATE OBAMA!!!!
In a comment at Amazon: “… If I ever find the bastards who took Primatine Mist off the shelves, I will do bodily injury to them.

So what about the EPAs new regs that took Primatene Mist off the market? (I am hoarding my last bottle.)

Promatene Mist was a cheap OTC available everywhere that stops the spasms that close down the bronchial passages making it hard to impossible to breath. It is easy to use and slips into a pocket and is very durable. An all round great product.

FDA UPDATES: Primatene Mist With Chlorofluorocarbons No Longer Available After Dec. 31, 2011

The only over-the-counter asthma inhaler sold in the United States will no longer be available next year as part of a phase-out of epinephrine inhalers containing chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs).

Epinephrine CFC inhalers, marketed as Primatene Mist, are being phased out because they use CFCs as a propellant (spray) to move the medicine out of the inhaler so patients can breathe the medicine into their lungs.

Primatene Mist is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the temporary relief of occasional symptoms of mild asthma. FDA urges those who use Primatene Mist to see a health care professional now to switch to another asthma medicine.

Advice to Consumers Who Use Primatene Mist
See a health care professional soon to get another medicine. A doctor, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner can all help you determine the best treatment option for you. Primatene Mist may be harder to find on store shelves even before Dec. 31, 2011. If you don’t have a doctor or other health care professional, you can find one by

Asking a family member, friend, or co-worker what doctor they use and would recommend.
Visiting a federally funded health center, where patients pay to see a doctor based on their income and what they can afford. See this website or call 888-275-4772 to learn more.
Visiting a local clinic, community health center, or minute clinic (sometimes located in a pharmacy).
Ask your health care professional to show you how to use your new inhaler or other medicine to make sure you are using it correctly and getting the right dose.
Follow the directions for using and cleaning your new inhaler or other medicine to make sure you get relief of your asthma symptoms.
If you haven’t used up your Primatene Mist by Dec. 31, 2011, it’s safe to continue using it as long as it hasn’t expired. Check the expiration date, which can be found on the product and its packaging.

        Help With Payment

Replacement medicines for Primatene Mist may cost more. If it is hard for you to pay for a new medicine:
Talk to your health care professional about programs that help patients get medicines they need.
Contact the company that makes the drug that your health care professional prescribes. The company may have a patient-assistance program that makes medicines available to patients at low or no cost.
Visit free local clinics and public hospitals for additional assistance with your medications.

Yeah Sure, like those of us who can not afford a doctor are now going to have to scrape up the cash not only for a doctor but for prescription medication. GEE THANKS OBUMMER!

So much for Obama’s worry about asthma. Cry a few more crocodile tears why don’t you.

BTW they just came out with a replacement OTC for ~$50.00. (with shipping costs)

Most helpful critical review [out of 219 reviews]
This product may save your life one day. It is absolutely better than the severely limited options available to asthma sufferers. I use it fairly frequently, because it works at least 3 times better (in terms of rapidity of relief and overall efficacy) than the crippled prescription brand I have.

But this is not a satisfactory replacement for Primatene. It costs 3 times as much, and requires many times more maintenance, meaning, with Primatene, all I had to do was rinse out the mouthpiece with water once in a while, whereas, with this thing, it must be rinsed out after every use, with DISTILLED WATER (really?) and vinegar (REALLLY?!?!?!) or it fails pretty quickly. [Really great for anyone traveling or at work. Now you have to carry a jug of distilled water and a jug of vinegar, GRUMBLE! Primatene slipped into a pocket or purse easily.]

Moreover, even if you follow the printed instructions to the letter, the silly ‘medication cup’ they provide, will fail completely within 2 months. I mean completely. As in, you need to buy a new one. And they just don’t seem to care enough to at least sell replacement cups at any of the places I’ve seen the product. That means another $60 every couple of months (probably every month in the summer) and is in addition to the cost of the refills you have to buy.

Now, as a pragmatist, I will say this is better than nothing. I shell out the money out of necessity. But, as a person who believes things should be done right, especially when charging money for said things, and particularly when charging as much money as these things cost, and as a matter of ethics and criminal liability, I believe the atomizer is a defective product, as designed, and Nephron Pharmaceuticals, in Orlando Florida, is raking in large amounts of cash for a shoddy product.

If they have no control over the quality of their product, they need to make replacement medication cups available at a non-usurious price, in all the places they sell their product.

If you are suffering and need to write or call the manufacturer, they are

        Other comments:
…It’s bulky and cumbersome, it’s at least twice the size of the Primatene inhaler, and it produces a mist that you inhale (much like a nebulizer) rather than a short, quick burst like Primatene did. I can also see it’s going to be more expensive to use than Primatene. My last Primatene inhaler cost about $30.00 and lasted me about 6 months. The Asthmanefrin starter kit came with 10 plastic vials of the medicine. I’ve only had it about 10 days and I’ve already gone through 5 of the vials. The refill kit comes with 30 vials and I doubt those will last 3 months. ….

….I’ve already had the medicine cup replaced because the lid wouldn’t stay closed. Also, the cleaning process for the cup is time consuming. After about two weeks I noticed decreased or zero output of the mist. I’ll be calling customer service AGAIN about this product. I want my Primatine mist!…..

….Atomizer deteriorates with usage to the point of being useless. Following the cleaning instructions makes no difference…..

Even with thorough cleaning as per the instructions, the atomizer quickly becomes clogged and stops working. I purchased the starter kit for over $50 and had just started using the first few vials from my first refill kit for $30 when the atomizer stopped working without warning. I really need to breath, as I write this I’m wheezing over my keyboard. This is a shoddy product, that people rely on for relief from asthma. It’s manufacturers should be locked in a room for fifteen minutes with their customers. If I ever find the bastards who took Primatine Mist off the shelves, I will do bodily injury to them.

Unfortunately I am going to have to shell out $$$ for this piece of crap if they ever get it in stock in my nearby city. SNARL!

        • Ted says:

You should be happy about losing the Primatine. You should drop to your knees, and thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster for giving you a government that cares enough to save you from yourself. Your asthma treatments were about to destroy the entire planet. Sure, the ozone hole was there from the first time we ever looked. And sure, it’s long term growth rate is zero. But it’s a proven fact that we’d all be dead by now if we hadn’t banned your medicine, because… science. And the complete failure of the ozone hole to ever do anything is just more proof that we need to ban CO2, too. In another ten years, they’ll be using the still running “pause” as proof that science won the battle against weather. And that victory will be used as evidence that we should give up whatever they’ll be trying to ban then.

As a side note, I’m a machinist, with some connections for plastic molding. If you can tell me the model of inhaler you use, I might be able to come up with a cheap replacement cup. Not having asthma, I’ve never heard of this problem before, but it sounds like something there’d be a market for. I have no idea if I could get it FDA approved, but I’m willing to take a stab at it.

        • Gail Combs says:

Ted, with luck someone will come up with a reliable replacement and fast. There is certainly a lot of unhappy customers.

I have yet to purchase the stuff so I do not know what it looks like yet. From the comments it seems the problem is the chemical clogs the opening of the nebulizer that turns the liquid into tiny drops to be inhaled.

HMMMMmmm It seems that rinsing with vinegar (an acid) may be a real no-no

          Classification: Hormones and synthetic substitutes

          Molecular Formula: C9H13NO3.HCl

          Boiling Point: 413.1 °C at 760 mmHg
          Stability:
Stable, but light sensitive. Incompatible with acids, acid chlorides, acid anhydrides, oxidizing agents.

          Water Solubility: H2O: >50 mg/mL

I think sticking to just distilled water maybe the best bet. (Distilled so it leave no mineral salts to clog the beast.)

        • gofer says:

Ozone hole was a bigger scam than AGW. How do you destroy something that continually reproduces itself with the seasons. Taking CFCS out of inhalers has zero effect on ozone as everything else. The whole thing is criminal. Reading the history of ozone tracks along with AGW. They covered up information that did not confirm their pre-determined outcome. They actually used it to try and stop nuclear weapons use, originally, then it morphed into stopping space flights and then hairspray and inhalers. The whole scam was not science, but political.

What is very clear to me is that this kind of practices not only happen in the UA but also in Europe. Just like the simaltanious publication of the climate change horror stories and the directive to transform 40% of our food crops into bio ethanol.
And these are just a few examples of centralized efforts to make millions of people’s lives miserable and costly.

This is not what voters on both sides of big pond should expect or accept from their Governments.

There is this strong perception that they have started a war on us, our civilization en the rest of the world.

It certainly looks like doesn’t it?
Actually Henry Kissinger stated the plan quite clearly in 1970 ~
“Control oil and you control nations; control food and you control the people; control money and you control the world.”
It is really simple when you match the actions to words.

    MONEY:
The grab for control of money was completed long ago since it was the most important. Money is needed to implement the other two.

Originally, according to the 1913 Federal Reserve Act, banks were supposed hold anywhere between 12 and 18% of their deposits in “reserve”. That is where the words “fractional reserve” comes in. Gradually the Fed has lowered the amount of “reserve” required until now the banks are operating on no reserve, just the 3% cash on hand. Ever thing else is “pixie dust.” That is the money they lend out to the government, as mortgages, as credit (cards) is created by a simple entry into an accounting ledger, it is NOT “real”money representing the wealth deposited by other people.

In the UK Nathan Rothschild aka Bank of England scammed the public at the end of the Battle of Waterloo and vastly increased his fortune. “Fractional reserve” banking was alive and well in the UK long before the USA was formed. It is one of the reasons the USA fought long and hard to keep banking honest and why the Constitution specifies only Gold and Silver as legal tender. Unfortunately it specifies the states and not the Federal government too.
“Of all the contrivances for cheating the laboring class of mankind, none have been more effectual than that which deludes them with paper money. This is the most effectual of inventions to fertilize the rich man’s field by the sweat of the poor man’s brow. Ordinary tyranny, oppression, excessive taxation: These bear lightly the happiness of the mass of the community, compared with fraudulent currencies and robberies committed with depreciated paper.” —- Daniel Webster, during the debate over the reauthorization of the Second National Bank of the U.S. in 1832

During FDR’s era: After the 1913 Federal Reserve Act was passed, the next step was taken in 1929 by intentionally crashing the US economy. Within 34 hr of becoming President, Roosevelt closed the doors on every bank in the USA, and then confiscated private citizens gold to pay the debts the US Bankers owed to the Bank of England, (Rothschild) by first passing the Emergency Banking Relief Act of 1933 on March 9, 1933. Roosevelt then confiscated privately held gold through an executive order on April 5th 1933. Various sources indicate all that gold is now long gone into foreign hands.

During FDRs Presidency, the Bretton Woods Conference was held, forming the World Bank and the IMF (International Monetary Fund) Harry Dexter White, a senior U.S. Treasury department official, was a primary mover behind the Bretton Woods Conference and became the head of the IMF. White was also a Soviet spy. His UK counter part was Fabian socialist John Maynard Keynes. (Capitalists WHAT capitalists?)

The last steps were the Vietnam war, the accumulated war debts and the removal of the USA from the gold standard followed by the removal of any government oversight of the Federal Reserve. At that point the international bankers “Control of Money” and the economy was complete since the US dollar is also the World Reserve Currency. …..

    FOOD
My area of interest for years has been the food supply. I have tons of references but I will try to keep it short.
As Nicole Johnson spells out in History, HACCP and the Food Safety Con Job The decision was made by the Council on Economic Development in 1947 to get rid of independent US farmers.

CED determined that the problem with American agriculture was that there were too many farmers.

But the CED had a “solution”: millions of farmers would just have to be eliminated. In a number of reports written over a few decades, CED recommended that farming “resources” ” that is, farmers ” be reduced.

In its 1945 report “Agriculture in an Expanding Economy,” CED complained that “the excess of human resources engaged in agriculture is probably the most important single factor in the “farm problem'” and describes how agricultural production can be better organized to fit to business needs.[2]

A report published in 1962 entitled “An Adaptive Program for Agriculture”[3] is even more blunt in its objectives, leading Time Magazine to remark that CED had a plan for fixing the identified problem: “The essential fact to be faced, argues CED, is that with present high levels farm productivity, more labor is involved in agriculture production that the market demands ” in short, there are too may farmers.

To solve that problem, CED offers a program with three main prongs.”[4] Some of the report’s authors would go on to work in government to implement CED’s policy recommendations. Over the next five years, the political and economic establishment ensured the reduction of “excess human resources engaged in agriculture” by two million, or by 1/3 of their previous number.

This mindset has now been exported to other countries. The weapons of choice are cheap subsidized grain produced by the US and the EU and regulations. The vehicle for implementing these weapons are “trade agreements” such as the World Trade Organization Agreement on Agriculture, NAFTA and “harmonization”

As the FDA once stated on their website:

    International Harmonization
    (wwwDOT)cfsan.fda.gov/~comm/int-laws.html

The harmonization of laws, regulations and standards between and among trading partners requires intense, complex, time-consuming negotiations by CFSAN officials. Harmonization must simultaneously facilitate international trade and promote mutual understanding, while protecting national interests and establish a basis to resolve food issues on sound scientific evidence in an objective atmosphere. Failure to reach a consistent, harmonized set of laws, regulations and standards within the free trade agreements and the World Trade Organization Agreements can result in considerable economic repercussions….

    The Results?
EU Chair states intent to remove 1 million Poles from their land, 60% of Portugal’s farmers already removed: (wwwDOT)i-sis.org.uk/savePolishCountryside.php

Thanks to “harmonization” the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2010 was written by the same group who wrote the EU farming regs with the same intent, destruction of the small independent farmer. The USA will soon feel the results as the FDA and USA gears up for enforcing the act. Remember the machine guns the USDA has purchased, and the brand new US ‘vegetarian’ based food guidelines that align with Maurice Strong’s wishes to remove meat from the affluent middle class diet.

“According to a study by Jose Romero and Alicia Puyana carried out for the federal government of Mexico, between 1992 and 2002, the number of agricultural households fell an astounding 75% – from 2.3 million to 575, 000′ (wwwDOT)globalexchange.org/campaigns/ftaa/topten.html

Farmer suicides in India that are blamed on “Global Warming ” by the ‘media” such as the Guardian and the real cause is not reported.

Now the full toll—surely among the largest sustained waves of suicides in human history—is becoming apparent. And as Sainath emphasizes, these numbers still underestimate the disaster, since women farmers are excluded from the official statistics… It is important that the figure of 150,000 farm suicides is a bottom line estimate…. As Professor Nagaraj puts it: “There is likely to be a serious underestimation of suicides…what has driven the huge increase in farm suicides,….

Cultivation costs have shot up in these high input zones, with some inputs seeing cost hikes of several hundred per cent… Meanwhile, prices have crashed, as in the case of cotton, due to massive U.S.-EU subsidies to their growers. All due to price rigging with the tightening grip of large corporations over the trade in agricultural commodities. http://alternatives-international.net/article1394.html
