Average And Peak Summer Afternoon Temperatures Plummeting

The press keeps making 100% fictitious claims about record summer heat in the US. The reality is that for most of the US, summer afternoons have been cooling for a century, and are near or at record lows now. Peak and average summer maximum temperatures are plummeting.

    Only four states? Hopefully this isn’t a case of cherry-picking – like the alarmists are fond of!

      No, it’s most states east of the Rockies. I’ve pasted the map below up here a few times now. Tony points out that Climate at a Glance is “adjusted” data but it still shows that daily high temperatures for many states has declined for some time, a few of them since the 19th century (-:
