Fourteenth Coldest Winter in Wyoming

Winter temperatures here in Wyoming have been declining over the last twenty years. So far this winter it has been the 14th coldest on record and coldest in thirty years – with cold forecast for the rest of the month. The trend has been downwards since the 1930’s, other than a blip from 1988 to 1999, with the warmest winter occurring in 1934. The winter of 1934 averaged thirteen degrees warmer than this winter.

Today is forecast to be “MUCH WARMER” than yesterday – up to a sweltering 28F (-2C.)
