That seems to be a silly prediction on it’s face. Superior, which is farther north than Erie and is much deeper than Erie will heat up faster? The surface to volume ratios are ~53 for Superior and ~7 for Erie. That’s just the Great Lakes. Since it is an any lake statement, want to try those nearer the equator? If it is just surface area, they do the oceans heat up faster than shallow lakes?
Oops, the S/V is reversed. Erie is 53 and Superior is 7. The higher the ratio the faster temperature changes should occur.
Up to 42 inches of plate ice with some ice as thick as 6 feet.

Can we ask Mr. Ross to revisit his story and, more important, ask his experts whether a frozen Lake Superior is proof that global warming has ended!

Out on the Saginaw Bay, ice fisherman were enjoying the thick ice, driving large trucks out on the lake. Fisherman reported about three feet of ice over 14- to 20-foot deep water.

I have it on good authority, that here too the heat is hiding at the bottom and will eventually come back to haunt us all. Stop making fun of global warming and climate scientists.
