NEWBURY, N.H. — Helena Williams had a great day of skiing here at Mount Sunapee shortly after the resort opened at the end of November, but when she came back the next day, the temperatures had warmed and turned patches of the trails from white to brown.

No fact checking permitted at the New York Times. New Hampshire winter temperatures have been declining since 1895. The past winter was the eighth warmest on record, after 1912-1913, 1927-1928, 1932-1933, 1936-1937, 1948-1949, 1952-1953, and 2001-2002
The previous winter had record snowfall. CO2 turned the NYT into a newt.
The NYT admitted earlier this year with an article headline that accurately represented both itself and its readers-

I took a 2 week ski trip in New Hampshire back in the winter of 1977-8, at the coldest of that cold period. It rained for the first 3 days, in January, no less, and that means that it was above freezing. Then, it froze up solid and we ski/skated for 10 days. WIld skiing with little control!
