Utter nonsense. Temperature records in New York show that summer heat peaked there over 60 years ago, and that there is no long term trend towards hotter weather.

Government experts say that 2016 is the hottest year ever, even though it isn’t. They aren’t paid to tell the truth.

Crack government funded scientists are baffled why their imaginary Greenland meltdown is not affecting the Gulf Stream.

It never occurred to them to look at the data and understand that Greenland isn’t actually melting. Greenland’s surface has gained 530 billion tons of ice since last summer, and is tracking well above normal.

My flight yesterday tracked south of Greenland, but I did manage to get a few pictures of glaciers at the southern tip of the island.

Anyone with an IQ over 30 understands that ice doesn’t melt at -15C. This group however does not include climate scientists, or progressives.

One week ago our brilliant secretary of state determined that glaciers calving off Greenland’s Jakobshavn glacier indicated a looming catastrophe.

Standing near Greenland’s Jakobshavn glacier, the reputed source of the iceberg that sank the Titanic over a century ago, U.S Secretary of State John Kerry saw evidence of another looming catastrophe.  Giant icebergs broken off from the glacier seemed to groan as they drifted behind him, signaling eventual rising oceans that scientists warn will submerge islands and populated coastal region.

Glaciers are rivers of ice. Excess snow falls in the interior, and glaciers carry the ice to the sea where it calves. Glaciers calving is an essential process required to return the 500 billion tons of annual snowfall to the sea, and has nothing to do with global warming. Kerry was seemingly aware that this was occurring in 1912, but perhaps no one told him that the Jakobshavn glacier has been retreating for hundreds of years.

If climate experts want to melt the North Pole, they have about 60 days left to do it.

The ice north of 80N is generally about 2-3 meters thick. It would require about 800 million joules of energy to melt a one square meter column of ice that thick.

If there were no clouds, over the next 60 days the North Pole would receive about 1,500 million joules of solar energy per square meter, the vast majority of which  would occur in the next 30 days. That would be enough to melt all of the two meter thick ice. The problems are that the ice is white and reflects most of the sunlight, and that it is cloudy most of the time at the North Pole in summer.

If climate experts want to melt the North Pole, they have to figure out how to make the clouds disappear. I’m sure they can do that with their climate models.

Scientists have definitively explained why past global warming led to even more warming, which kept feeding back on itself unstoppably until the planet melted.

Three weeks ago, experts forecast an ice-free summer in the Arctic, and defined ice-free as larger than the area of Texas and Wyoming combined.

So how is their expert climate forecast coming along? The map below shows the  US Navy forecast for thickness at the end of June.

NCEP is forecasting cold weather in the Beaufort Sea through mid-July.

Wadham’s forecast is a dishonest exaggeration, which according to Democrats is prosecutable fraud. But there is nothing new about this, the top people in climate science and politics have been exaggerating the state of Arctic every year for longer than anyone can remember.

According to Democrat AG’s, hiding critical climate information is fraud. That is exactly what Phil Jones and Michael Mann did.

“I’ve just completed Mike’s Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie, from 1981 onwards) and from 1961 for Keith’s to hide the decline.”

Michael Mann hid the post-1960 decline in the temperatures, as measured by Briffa in his paleoclimate studies. Mann claimed that the decline didn’t match the surface temperature record, and simply erased it.

Under the Democratic definition of fraud, Mann is culpable for hiding data. But it gets much worse – because his justification was also scientifically unsupportable. As of 1974, NCAR showed the decline in surface temperatures, which Mann claimed didn’t exist.

NASA has since erased the decline, making themselves culpable under the Democratic definition of fraud.
