To anyone with a higher IQ than a turnip, it should be obvious that snow is associated with cold. But Michael Mann and Kevin Trenberth apparently don’t.
Colder winters in New York tend to have more snow. Warmer winters tend to have less snow. All ten of New York’s snowiest winters had below normal or normal temperatures.
Fortunately I am in Colorado this weekend, but this is close to my weekend cycling route to Harpers Ferry, WV when I am in Maryland.
I asked two of the country’s top climatologists, Michael Mann and Kevin Trenberth, to comment on the role climate change has on this latest superstorm, which is forecast to break records.
They claim that heavy precipitation events are increasing due to global warming, based on a White House study showing that heavy precipitation events have increased since 1958.

The start date of 1958 was carefully cherry picked by White House fraudsters like Katherine Hayhoe, because that was the end of many years of drought, and was the lowest on record. Had they started the study in 1895, the trend in heavy precipitation events would be down.
New York’s largest snowstorm occurred in 1888, which was also their coldest year on record.
All 50 states have snow on the ground.
There is snow right on the Florida border.

The US is buried in snow – because it is cold.
The IPCC said that global warming will “decrease heavy snowstorms.“
Last month was warm in the East and there was no snow. This month is cold and there is lots of snow. Any child can understand that, but not the morons known as climate scientists. Cold air holds less moisture, so the collision of cold air with warmer humid air causes snow to fall. The amount of moisture held by cold air has not changed over time.
It turns out that NASA data tampering is the cause of El Nino.

This time they were correct.
NOAA tampers with US temperatures by actually altering the monthly data. This is because the US data set is robust and does not show any warming over the last century.
But with global temperatures they play a different game. Instead of relying on altering the data, they alter the station selection over time. By eliminating rural stations in the data set, NOAA and NASA increase the amount of warming.
You can get any shaped function you want out of the nearly useless “global” temperature data set. NOAA/NASA/CRU use a carefully cherry-picked common set of NOAA stations as their base, and then declare their data sets to be independent. But they keep changing the set of stations being used, which causes the changes over time seen in the animation above.
Transitioning to more heavily UHI infected data, gives them to freedom to create a hockey stick – while actually adjusting current global warming downwards.

On January 22, 1906 everywhere east of the Mississippi was very warm. while much of the west froze. It was 78 degrees at Uniontown, Pennsylvania and 96 degrees at Franklin, Louisiana that day.
Today will be a little bit different.
The Union of Concerned Scientists, Penn State University, and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection put out a spectacularly fraudulent report in 2012 claiming that hot days are going to become much more common in Pennsylvania.

It took me less than five seconds of looking at Pennsylvania data to determine that the report was fraudulent.
The number of 90 degree days in Pennsylvania has been dropping since the start of records in 1895. They peaked in the 1930s, with another spike in the 1980s. Ninety degree days occur only half as often now in Pennsylvania as they did during the 1930s. Interesting to note that the highest year was 1988, when James Hansen gave his testimony to Congress.
The number of 100 degree days has also been dropping, with only two years since the 1960’s averaging at least one 100 degree day across the state. One hundred degree days have become very rare in Pennsylvania as CO2 has increased.
As with essentially every single government funded climate report, this one has no basis in science – and is an intentional attempt to mislead the public. UCS also says that winters in the Northeast are becoming less snowy.
