You really can’t make this stuff up. Bill McKibben is accusing Exxon of lying about global warming in 1977.
Given that climate scientists were talking about global cooling in 1977, how could Bill McKibben possibly be stupid enough to make a claim like that?

Scientists have found other indications of global cooling. For one thing there has been a noticeable expansion of the great belt of dry, high-altitude polar winds —the so-called circumpolar vortex—that sweep from west to east around the top and bottom of the world. Indeed it is the widening of this cap of cold air that is the immediate cause of Africa’s drought.
Climatologist George J. Kukla of Columbia University’s Lamont-Doherty Geological Observatory and his wife Helena analyzed satellite weather data for the Northern Hemisphere, they found that the area of the ice and snow cover had suddenly increased by 12% in 1971 and the increase has persisted ever since. Areas of Baffin Island in the Canadian Arctic, for example, were once totally free of any snow in summer; now they are covered year round.

More spectacular fraud and data tampering from the sea level people at the University of Colorado.
Last year they showed that large areas of the Pacific were experiencing 3 mm/year declines in sea level since 1993.
They have since erased this, and painted their map red. The only way this could have happened, is if sea level rose 63 mm (21 years * 3 mm/year) this year.

They have since inflated that to 3.3 mm/year
The next image overlays the two graphs. Note that they have altered their trend outside their own reported error of 0.4 mm/yr
But the University of Colorado fraud is much worse than it seems. They are reporting almost twice as much sea level rise as NOAA
absolute global sea level rise is believed to be 1.7-1.8 millimeters/year.
Like with all other claims from climate alarmists, the increase in sea level rise rates after 1993 is completely fraudulent. It simply didn’t happen.
NOAA and NASA are both claiming that the last two years were the hottest on record. The Arctic says they are lying.
Sea ice extent is the highest for the date in over a decade.
Greenland is seeing record ice growth this autumn.
Last autumn had record snow extent in the Northern Hemisphere. This is caused by cold Arctic air pushing south further than normal.
The last two years have had record ice cover on the Great Lakes. There was five times as much ice cover as the actual hottest year of 1998.
Neither 2014 nor 2015 are anywhere near the warmest year on record. NASA and NOAA are lying to push White House propaganda ahead of the Paris Summit.
The fraudsters at the New York Times claim that Greenland is heating rapidly. In fact, temperatures there are plummeting.
Temperatures at Nuuk, Greenland have been below normal for the past five years. This year is the coldest since the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo in the early 1990’s. Since 2003, temperatures there have been falling at a rate of 24 degrees C per century.
Vikings used to farm near Nuuk. But now it is much too cold there for farming.
Gavin is trying to hide the fraud by out of context visual trickery on nearly useless little graph.
I’m happy to indulge his claim that he has gone back in time and gotten some new readings from before 1900. The graph below normalizes his 2005 plot and his 2015 plot to the year 1900, making the pre-1900 data irrelevant.

Since 2005, Gavin has tampered with the post-1930 data linearly to add 0.3 degrees warming. It beggars belief that he thinks he could get away with this obvious fraud.

He has adjusted recent temperatures upwards by 0.3°C relative to 1930, and then claims a global temperature record by 0.02°C. The data tampering is fifteen times as large as his claimed global temperature record.
But Gavin’s malfeasance is much worse than it seems. Prior to 2005, GISS matched satellites reasonably well, but now is diverging at almost two degrees per century. Earth has been cooling over the last decade, but Gavin shows it warming.
So we have to add an additional 0.2°C on to the 0.3°C of cheating he already did prior to 2005. This makes a total of 0.5°C cheating, for a claimed global temperature record of 0.02°C.

Satellites show that 2015 is nowhere near the warmest on record. It isn’t even close.

In the 1960’s there was unanimous agreement among scientists that the Earth was cooling
By the 1970’s scientists were predicting a new ice age, and had 60 theories to explain it.
Predictably, government climate criminals have recently erased the unanimous consensus of the 1960’s. The post-1945 cooling has disappeared.
But it is worse than it seems. Over the past decade there was unanimous consensus for a decade long global warming hiatus, with 60+ theories to explain it. NOAA climate criminals just erased the hiatus ahead of Paris. History repeats itself.
In 1974, climate scientists blamed droughts, floods, blizzards, tornadoes, typhoons and hurricanes on global cooling.
Since then, they have erased the post-1945 cooling – and now blame all of those same things on global warming.
There isn’t one smidgen of science behind anything these climate criminals do.
