Ten years ago this month, Hurricane Katrina ravaged the Gulf Coast. Scientists immediately blamed global warming, and NBC’s Brian Williams reported on imaginary dead bodies floating in one inch of water.

Kerry Emanuel of MIT announced that summer that more frequent and stronger hurricanes were the new normal due to global warming.

In fact, the past decade has been the quietest on record for US hurricanes, with no major hurricane strikes since 2005. Water temperatures in the North and tropical Atlantic have plummeted. This summer has been tied for the quietest hurricane season on record.

I had dinner last night with one of the few scientists who actually understands climate and hurricanes – Dr. Bill Gray of CSU. Here he is holding an official Al Gore $8 bill.

Al Gore cut off Dr. Gray’s funding 20 years ago, for being competent and telling the truth. Two traits which are not considered acceptable in climate science.

The level of incompetence and fraud by climate scientists has gone far past the tipping point. Ken Caldeira of Stanford University is claiming that the climate of New York will become hot like Oklahoma.

Actual data shows the exact opposite of the claims.

The frequency of hot days is declining in both states, and 90 degree July days occur eight times as often in Oklahoma as they do in New York. During the last two years, most New York stations never made it to 90 degrees during July.

 This has become the new normal for climate scientists. Actual data is completely ignored, in order to push an agenda. How does this kind of worthless junk science get through peer review?

The animation below flashes between the 1971 National Geographic Arctic ice map, and the current state of the ice reported by the US Navy.

As  you can see, the ice edge is nearly identical to 1971, and nothing like the wildly fraudulent map which National Geographic just published.

National Geographic just released this Arctic map, which shows about half as much ice as there actually is.

There seems to be no limit to the level of fraud which formerly respectable magazines will commit, in order to push the “climate change” agenda.

One of the charts, which used data from upper troposphere, appeared to show that the climate isn’t warming as much as scientists would expect. I checked that out with Hayhoe, who told me this is a common data manipulation: The upper troposphere is above the area of the atmosphere where most carbon dioxide accumulates, meaning it’s not a representative way to measure climate change. Surface temperatures, from the lower troposphere, are what we experience. (After this article was first published, Hayhoe wrote me that, more importantly, there were errors in troposphere data, which are commonly misused by climate skeptics.)

Skeptics don’t use upper troposphere data, they use lower troposphere data.

The predicted mid-upper troposphere hot spot is due to the exact opposite of what she is saying. CO2 mixes evenly through the troposphere, but H2O stays closer to the surface. Thus an increase in CO2 will warm the mid-upper troposphere more than the surface.

The lead scientists for both sets of satellite data say that troposphere warming has been well below what is predicted by climate models.

Katherine Hayhoe is either incompetent, dishonest, or both.  She seems to have no qualms about lying or telling utter nonsense to the press.

Climate experts say that Hudson Bay Polar Bears are doomed by global warming, as ice levels are the 4th highest on record and highest since 1992.

Meanwhile, the Arctic Basin has been covered with clouds and cold air for weeks, and melting has essentially stopped there.

During some years, ice loss accelerates during the second week in August due to warm water melting ice in the Beaufort Sea from the bottom up . This year it is likely to slow down because the water in the region has not been getting warmed by the sun

Last year, climate criminals tried to blame Walruses on Alaskan beaches on global warming. This year ice (red below) persists right up to the Alaskan coast

Meanwhile, climate criminals in academia continue to lie about the Arctic, in order to keep their grant money coming in.

But the big news is that there will be a huge increase in the amount of four year old ice in the Arctic in a few weeks.

The amount of sea ice in the eastern Arctic has rapidly increased over the past four years, and is higher than it was 30 years ago in 1985.

Meanwhile, the usual criminals in the press claim the exact opposite.

An easy way of identifying a climate criminal, is that they never correct any of their claims, and simply double down with their lies and fraud.

I did a long bike ride after work, and was thinking about Obama’s completely pointless CO2 regulations. Like almost everything else Obama does, they accomplish nothing, but hurt lots other people.

Progressives like Barack Obama are obsessed with controlling people and taking things away from them.  Progressives are driven by some sort of mental illness which convinces them that hurting other people somehow betters the world.

Conservatives need to stop pandering to these psychos, and start aggressively working to keep them from positions of power.

The dictator just issued some more CO2 regulations. They have absolutely nothing to do with climate. By the year 2030, China will emit four times as much CO2 as the US. Anything the US does is in the noise.
