A disconcerting report released last week revealed that New York City could see a 6-foot rise in sea levels by the end of this century. It would make nearly half a million New Yorkers vulnerable to flooding, and waterfront properties would be virtually uninhabitable.

Sea level has been rising at a constant rate in New York since 1860, due to glacial rebound after the last ice age. It shows no sign of accelerating. The dashed line below shows the mindless Huffington Post forecast.

But what if climate change continues unabated for even longer? What will New York City look like if, say, both the Antarctic and Greenland ice sheets melt completely, raising sea levels an estimated 260 feet?

I ran another test of TOBS-resistant data.

Any day which has a higher maximum than the previous day can not  be due to TOBS double counting. The graph below shows the percent of days over 90 degrees, which were also hotter than the previous day. Once again we see that the 1930s were much hotter. This can’t be blamed on TOBS.

The pattern is essentially identical to the pattern for all days. TOBS has little or no impact on the US temperature record.

Zeke and Mosher never discuss any actual testing like this on the real data, choosing instead to hide behind models and peer-reviewed junk science.

Sea levels north of New York City rose by 128mm in two years, according to a report in the journal, Nature Communications.

Coastal areas will need to prepare for short term and extreme sea level events, say US scientists.

Climate models suggest extreme sea level rises will become more common this century.

“The extreme sea level rise event during 2009-10 along the northeast coast of North America is unprecedented during the past century,”Prof Jianjun Yin of the University of Arizona told BBC News.

“Statistical analysis indicates that it is a 1-in-850 year event.”

Fraudulent science doesn’t get any worse than this. There was a larger jump around  1875, which probably wasn’t 850 years ago. Almost all of the 2009-2010 gain has seen been lost. This event had nothing to do with climate.

There was nothing unusual about sea level rise during 2009-2010. The whole premise of this article is garbage.

The rate of sea level rise at New York hasn’t changed in 160 years. These scientists are engaged in massive fraud, intended for propaganda purposes only. Their work has nothing to do with science.

Due to the data tampering which Zeke and Mosher defend, NCDC has concluded that the current winter is one of the warmest ever in the US.

Apparently the freezing point of water has changed, because the Great Lakes have record ice cover for the past 35 years.

Ice cover is more than double normal.

About half of the US is below normal temperature for the year.

Obviously the US is nowhere near record warm, and obviously the NCDC adjustments are incorrect. The US is in an historic deep freeze. The Obama inquisition will come after you if you don’t believe this is record hot.

I’m flying back from Denver right now, after four days of near record snow and cold.

The Washington Post has joined in the White House led inquisition of Dr. Willie Soon, declaring that not only he is evil for accepting funding, but he is wrong. This is based on the analysis of fraudsters Kook and Nutter

They are partially correct. There hasn’t been any global warming over the past 18 years, so the Sun can not be blamed for something which isn’t occurring.

Leading experts Kevin Trenberth and Michael Mann both declared that the deep snow in the Northeast this winter is due to excess moisture in the atmosphere from global warming.

Neither bothered to observe that precipitation and temperatures have both been below normal in the Northeast this winter.

The level of Soviet style criminal activity at the White House has reached spectacular new lows. On February 20, The White House sent out this E-mail announcing that they were going to start attacking individual scientists who dissented from the White House global warming agenda.

A few hours later, this E-mail was sent out to a large group of prominent skeptics. The author used a stolen identity of Harvard’s Dr. Willie Soon, and obtained the list of skeptic E-mails via hacking. The E-mail pre-announced an attack by the press on an individual scientist.

Today they sent out another E-mail using Dr. Soon’s stolen identity, pre-announcing newspaper attacks on other prominent skeptics.

This behavior by the White House, coordinated with the press corps, is straight out of the Stalin era Soviet Union.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise. The White House adopted Soviet era themes from day one.

Any time the White House starts talking about conspiracy theories, you know they are attempting to cover up something really bad they are doing.

They’re still grasping at myths and conspiracy theories, but deniers are on the run.

The White House is attempting to distract from their disastrous performance in the Middle East and elsewhere. So they are focused on imaginary problems and somehow imagining that engaging in criminal activity will alter scientific fact.

Totalitarian regimes around the planet are currently engaged in attacks on dissidents. Yesterday, Egypt sent blogger Alaa Abdel Fattah to jail for five years for being a dissident. Saudi Arabia also has dissident bloggers jailed.

This is 21st century America. We don’t do inquisitions of heretics any more. Unbelievable that this is going on in the US.
