Barack Obama Goes Full Stalin

The level of Soviet style criminal activity at the White House has reached spectacular new lows. On February 20, The White House sent out this E-mail announcing that they were going to start attacking individual scientists who dissented from the White House global warming agenda.

screenhunter_1119-feb-20-15-531

A few hours later, this E-mail was sent out to a large group of prominent skeptics. The author used a stolen identity of Harvard’s Dr. Willie Soon, and obtained the list of skeptic E-mails via hacking. The E-mail pre-announced an attack by the press on an individual scientist.

ScreenHunter_7357 Feb. 22 08.24

Today they sent out another E-mail using Dr. Soon’s stolen identity, pre-announcing newspaper attacks on other prominent skeptics.

ScreenHunter_7393 Feb. 24 07.55

This behavior by the White House, coordinated with the press corps, is straight out of the Stalin era Soviet Union.

B9SHe4vIEAAcmNk

It shouldn’t come as a surprise. The White House adopted Soviet era themes from day one.

BolT5sDIAAEwoSc

Any time the White House starts talking about conspiracy theories, you know they are attempting to cover up something really bad they are doing.

They’re still grasping at myths and conspiracy theories, but deniers are on the run.

The White House is attempting to distract from their disastrous performance in the Middle East and elsewhere. So they are focused on imaginary problems and somehow imagining that engaging in criminal activity will alter scientific fact.

B9VilRDIEAAlNrC

Totalitarian regimes around the planet are currently engaged in attacks on dissidents. Yesterday, Egypt sent blogger Alaa Abdel Fattah to jail for five years for being a dissident. Saudi Arabia also has dissident bloggers jailed.

This is 21st century America. We don’t do inquisitions of heretics any more. Unbelievable that this is going on in the US.

  1. JJ Reuter says:

You are correct as usual. The voices crying in the wilderness of ignorance and denial will continue to support the lies and failed policies of the past and the present. I applaud your courage in continuing the fight to spread the truth.

    • There’s always more. Notice the last name in that ominous “Bad things coming for these boys and girls” email that Steve got: Robert Balling. Dr Balling hasn’t been out in the public eye for years, but his name on that list might give us a hint of the folks behind the 20 year smear of skeptics. Things just happened a bit slower in the old days. Witness this January 1996 hit piece against Dr Balling in the Santa Fe NM Reporter ( http://gelbspanfiles.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/SF-Reporter-Gelb-Balling-1-31-96.jpg ) just one month after the Dec 1995 Harpers Magazine article “The Heat is On” sent Ross Gelbspan onto his new path of smearing skeptic climate scientists.

Then we had Greenpeace Executive Director Phil Radford trashing Dr Balling in 2012 in this article (about halfway down http://www.statepress.com/2012/03/04/professor-accused-of-bias-in-environmental-research/ ). Now we have these current hit pieces against Dr Soon citing Kert Davies. What’s the common thread? Davies and Radford were both at the old Ozone Action enviro-activist group at the time when Ross Gelbspan and they ‘obtained’ leaked documents ( http://gelbspanfiles.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/OA-docs-obtained-by-OA-Gelb-1024×733.jpg ) proving skeptics were supposedly paid to “reposition global warming as theory rather than fact”. That’s the line spelled out full screen in Al Gore’s movie just before the 1 hr 13 minute point. BTW, Al Gore’s longtime spokesperson Kalee Kreider said she was one of Ozone Action’s founders ( http://gelbspanfiles.com/?p=919 ). Never heard of Ozone Action? They merged into Greenpeace USA in 2000, with their main founder John Passacantando taking over as GP USA’s Executive Director. Davies went from being Ozone Action’s Science Policy Director to head Greenpeace’s ExxonSecrets web site.

Dredge through this entire pile of skeptic accusers, and you see it’s all just one happy small little family.

Don’t mess with the state religion(s).

    • JJ Reuter says:

Pachauri thanked the thousands of scientists who had worked for free on the IPCC’s reports and made an “unmatched contribution to global society.” He added: “I will continue to [work on climate change] assiduously throughout my life in what ever capacity I work. For me the protection of Planet Earth, the survival of all species and sustainability of our ecosystems is more than my mission, it is my religion.” Kinda says it all. Note he emphasized “worked for free”.

This will end up backfiring considering is was -25F (!) this morning where I live and it’s nearly March!

  4. omanuel says:

Thank you, Steven, for recognizing the similarities between Stalin and Obama and thank you, Obama, for being such a transparent follower of Stalin.

The Egyptian policy jailing dissidents may explain why some factions of the Muslim faith are becoming so violent.

  5. Stephen Richards says:

    Why isn’t he being impeached?

  6. Owen says:

No, it’s not unbelievable this is going on in the USA. Obama has been relentlessly attacking freedom of speech and all the other freedoms since the beginning. Anyone who cared to look knew this was coming. The fact that he got re-elected was America asking for it. Now he’s delivering. My only wonder is what took the creep so long.

  7. emsnews says:

Looks like Judith Curry is going to be attacked next. We must stand up for her.

  8. Ron C. says:

In attacking Dr. Soon, green journalists display a quite stunning world view. Behind their writings you can see their logic:

Climate scientists are paid to publish results supporting Global Warming.
Dr. Soon’s results don’t support Global Warming.
QED Dr. Soon is paid by those against Global Warming.

Seeing all the fame and fortune going to true believers, they can not imagine a scientist motivated by his own integrity. After all, in their view, all published results are bought and paid for.

Green journalists attacking Dr. Soon reveal their operating assumption: Climate science is totally corrupt. . .well, 97% corrupt.

  9. WTF – Roger Pielke Jr, not a skeptic, has just said that apparently he is going to be “investigated”.

    • Jason Calley says:

Under the new paradigm, simple lack of enthusiasm is the same as scepticism.

    • omanuel says:

      Rejoice and Learn:

By giving Nobel Prizes to Al Gore and the UN’s IPCC, we learned motives of the Nobel Prize Committee.

By investigating skeptics of the AGW fable, we learned motives of Obama, the NAS, and the UN’s IPCC.

If NAS and the UN had been true to their charters, both would have objected to the politicalization of science.

His handlers, legal team(s), supporters, judges, the dems, and those who practiced acquiescence (like the Christian Coalition and other so-called conservatives…) during the last two elections should get some of the credit for our slide towards Communism eh?

It is impossible to know if the “Old Man” (2008), Mitt Romney (2012), or their cabinets would be allowing this to happen to our own citizens and what is happening to Christians abroad, but one thing is proven, it is happening now.

There are (and have been) a lot of “private vs govt.” battles raging in America (in the courts and places like Nevada); they have my admiration as does this blog. The young people have so-much more liberty to loose than those of us who have the majority of our “fun in the sun” behind us; sad.

I hope we keep track and go after them all if this presidency ever ends and the rule of law is restored.

    Salute

I am convinced that the Laughingstock-in-Chief owes his 2nd term to the corruption at the IRS. The IRS effectively silenced the opposition by delaying approval of all conservative Political Action Committees(words like freedom, liberty, constitution were red flags).

The media commented that the Taxed Enough Already (Tea-party) was a no-show in the 2012 elections. What they didn’t report was the Democratic political machine had muzzled them via the IRS declining to approve the PACs in opposition to the Liar-in-Chief.

So, personally, I give the IRS the majority credit for the Liar-in-Chief’s 2nd term. The republican party gets an honorable mention for fielding candidates that had little chance of unseating the Laughingstock-in-Chief.

The Banana trees on the White-house lawn will need replaced. Like everything else, Obama’s promise of global warming appears to have no resemblance to the truth.

      • rah says:

IMO he owed his 2nd term to the establishment press, blacks, liberals, progressives, new Mexican immigrants, college kids, and probably as much as any of the above, those that are sucking from the government teats. Of course the Republicans putting of a less than motivating Candidate also helped.

        • Gail Combs says:

Do not forget the dead who voted many many times and other voter fraud.

It’s official: Obama voter fraud reason for “reelection”/growing totalitarian government

          ….-Facts already in Place-

          — First and foremost, Obama lost in each and every US State where voter ID laws were in place

          — Massive Obama voter fraud occurred in multiple States — especially the “swing states”

          — In 59 Philadelphia precincts, Mitt Romney received no votes and Obama received 100% of the votes — or even higher. This fact, alone, should have raised red flags and set off all manner of bells, whistles and sirens. But, the Republican Establishment (aka Marxist-lite) has remained silent

          — In Florida, St. Lucie County and other counties experienced unprecedented voter fraud, with St. Lucie reporting in at a141% turnout — which is impossible

          — In Ohio, Obama “won” the county by 108% of registered voters — another impossibility, of course, except with well-planned and implemented election fraud

          — The military vote was almost totally suppressed in the November elections

          — People were openly reported to have voted twice — or more

          — Republican poll watchers in multiple states were either turned away and not allowed to enter the precincts or thrown out once they had done so….

Aint our press wonderful? Investigate and attack skeptic scientist but stay mum about the greatest voter fraud Evah!

The New fascist Gleichschaltung (SEE Wikipedia for more about this Nazi totalitarian concept) has now comes to science – or is finally exposed as coming from King Obama’s minions to steer his Dick Sucking media.

  12. pacpride says:

Seriously, do not take this crap lightly. The week after this came out letters to the editor started showing up denouncing skeptics in local newspapers in our area. The young radicals associated with environmental left should be considered a threat. Canada RCMP takes it serious. Sad

    • Gail Combs says:

What is worse is the powers behind these brainless young people will stand back and watch them get shot or go to jail and then use them for martrys for the ‘Cause’. These S.O.B.s have the morals of the ebola virus.

I really like the way Putin handled Greenpeace.

  13. Reblogged this on Power To The People and commented:
Powerful forces within western elites led by Obama have been pushing the AGW myth for decades, and have invested huge amounts of time & money trying to convince the world of their alarmist theories. However, the #Climategate revelations and as their doomsday Climate forecasts failed to materialize, they have lost significant credibility. Thus they resort to smearing anyone who dares to challenge their disproven by reality dooms day Climate Theories. Public opinion polls clearly substantiate that the alarmists continue to lose momentum as public interest and more pressing issue arise like Radical Islamic Terrorism and the observation solar panels don’t work under two feet of snow. Best not to freeze to death paying tax payer subsidies to useless solar and wind. Given all of this desperation by the alarmists their only recourse is the shabby treatment of prominent climate scientists who dare to expose their lies. Despicable they are.

  14. Dave says:

Judith Curry and Roger Pielke are only mildly skeptical. As I see it Curry is a sensible scientist. But I am surprised she has survived this long, after they got rid of Murray Salby.

  15. emsnews says:

Well, Judith Curry is now on the firing line. She still doesn’t understand the danger she is in.

As someone who has been attacked repeatedly in the past by these gangsters, I assure everyone here, they will try to eliminate her online by getting her censored.

    • Dave says:

I agree. As I mentioned in my other post, Murray Salby got silenced after he started presenting compelling evidence about CO2 that did not fit the climate change paradigm. Pielke will be silenced as well. We live in strange times as far as the scientific establishment is concerned.

  16. AZ1971 says:

Our Founding Fathers knew enough to fear totalitarian rule as to set up a system of government where there would be checks and balances to prevent any one branch from becoming too powerful. But we now have such gross corruption amongst all of them that we effectively have totalitarian rule in place. If net neutrality changes become a reality, expect that corruptive influence to deem websites like this one to be a threat to democracy and be shut down.

They needed an unlimited money supply to corrupt the system.

Thomas Woodrow Wilson (December 28, 1856 – February 3, 1924) was the 28th President of the United States from 1913 to 1921 and leader of the Progressive Movement. A Southerner with a PhD in political science, he served as President of Princeton University from 1902 to 1910. He was Governor of New Jersey from 1911 to 1913, and led his Democratic Party to win control of both the White House and Congress in 1912.

Wilson induced a Democratic Congress to pass a progressive legislative agenda, unparalleled until the New Deal in 1933.[1] This included the FEDERAL RESERVE ACT, Federal Trade Commission Act, the Clayton Antitrust Act, the Federal Farm Loan Act and an and a small income tax. Wilson also averted a railroad strike and an ensuing economic crisis through passage of the Adamson Act, imposing an 8-hour workday for railroads.

Ivan Frishberg is campaign manager for Organizing for Action On Climate Change an Obama-Allied Group and has Enters The Climate Wars (Huffington Post)

Isn’t it nice to have a really great example of Obama’s dirty politics right out there and in your face?

  18. I’m not a scientist, but I aspire to be attacked by the press. So, let me say the following things. Global warming has no scientific fact to back up their theory. Here are some examples.

“Greenhouse Gas” is an oxymoron. Greenhouses allow radiation and inhibit convection. Any gas that inhibits convection is by definition, not a gas.

It is true that atmospheric gases average the temperature, but water vapor is almost all of that effect. Carbon Dioxide contributes about 3% to averaging and 95% of Carbon Dioxide is from plants. So a 50% reduction of Carbon Dioxide would only affect the temperature a fraction of a degree for a few hours.

If that is not enough, all living things benefit from temperature averaging. For example, wild swings in temperature are used to pasteurize milk. If you want to kill something, wild termperature swings are pretty effective.

CO2 tracks temperature (not vice-versa). More plants grow when it is warmer, and plants account for 95% of the Carbon Dioxide. Scientists have used that fact for decades to determine the temperature of the Earth thousands of years ago. You don’t want to be against science, do you?

  19. emsnews says:

Ms. Huffandpuff lives in southern California and like all the other gangsters, thinks the entire planet is like LA.

  20. emsnews says:

By the way, the last time I was in LA many years ago, I left the airport, went to a friend’s house, rang the doorbell and a man wearing only his underwear jumped out of the bushes and shot at me four times and I threw my suitcase at him.

He was arrested and sent to a mental institution. That city is crazy as heck.

  21. Curry and Pielke have posted up the McCarthyist letters their heads of dept have received from Raul Grijalva. In each case the objection is to a statement that is entirely consistent with the IPCC.

  22. Tel says:

So we are supposed to believe there’s no “conspiracy” amongst government scientists, but we see that anyone who doesn’t give the state approved answer gets thrown out of a job and hounded and threatened.

Hmmm, I remember Ed Krug explaining he was treated exactly the same way when he refused to issue state approved bullshit over the “acid rain” scare. Then there was Mitchell Taylor who pointed out that polar bear populations are increasing… boy they didn’t want to hear that. David Bellamy who’s career was ended at the BBC because of his views on windmills and climate change. Peter Sissons reported much the same thing about the political correctness of the BBC.

Now we have Obama proving that there’s no conspiracy by going after Dr Soon.

  23. Gail Combs says:

Here you go guys, a Playboy Interview, 1964

    Actually it is very appropriate.

….since reason is man’s basic tool of survival, rationality is his highest virtue. To use his mind, to perceive reality and to act accordingly, is man’s moral imperative….

A rational man knows — or makes it a point to discover — the source of his emotions, the basic premises from which they come; if his premises are wrong, he corrects them. He never acts on emotions for which he cannot account, the meaning of which he does not understand. In appraising a situation, he knows why he reacts as he does and whether he is right. He has no inner conflicts, his mind and his emotions are integrated, his consciousness is in perfect harmony. His emotions are not his enemies, they are his means of enjoying life. But they are not his guide; the guide is his mind. This relationship cannot be reversed, however. If a man takes his emotions as the cause and his mind as their passive effect, if he is guided by his emotions and uses his mind only to rationalize or justify them somehow — then he is acting immorally, he is condemning himself to misery, failure, defeat, and he will achieve nothing but destruction — his own and that of others.

PLAYBOY: What, in your view, is the proper function of a government?

….there is really only one proper function: the protection of individual rights. Since rights can be violated only by physical force, and by certain derivatives of physical force, the proper function of government is to protect men from those who initiate the use of physical force: from those who are criminals. Force, in a free society, may be used only in retaliation and only against those who initiate its use. This is the proper task of government: to serve as a policeman who protects men from the use of force….

PLAYBOY: …Do you think the time has come for the artists, intellectuals and creative businessmen of today to withdraw their talents from society….

….when society has reached the stage of dictatorship. When and if this happens, that will be the time to go on strike, but not until then….

PLAYBOY: What is the dividing line, by your definition, between a mixed economy and a dictatorship?

    A dictatorship has four characteristics:

    one-party rule,

executions without trial for political offenses,

expropriation or nationalization of private property,

    and censorship.

Above all, this last. So long as men can speak and write freely, so long as there is no censorship, they still have a chance to reform their society or to put it on a better road. When censorship is imposed, that is the sign that men should go on strike intellectually, by which I mean, should not cooperate with the social system in any way whatever.

Sure sounds like we are coming close to that time folks.

    • Gail, if they did not follow your link, many will not know that this is the famous Ayn Rand interview with Playboy. While she was always very insistent that she was not a scientist, it sure would be fun to have her around and commenting on today’s events from her very rational and principled perspective.

Obama is out of contact with Reality. He has absolutely no power, only delusions of power.

Since the end of WWII scientists have been paid to prohibit the public from knowing the power that makes and sustains atoms of elements out of condensed nuclear matter on the cores of stars:

        https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10640850/Solar_Energy_For_Review.pdf

        • No, Obama has power. He has power because those elected to stop Obama are not in any way fulfilling their jobs. If there is no real opposition, then Obama has any power he wants. I don’t think he’s out of contact with reality. I think it’s the people who sit and watch and just can’t imagine how this could be happening who are out of touch with reality. Obama fully understands his power and the lack of opposition to his actions.

      • quercusluver says:

  29. ScienceABC123 says:

Let me make this easy for the White House. I’m a “climate skeptic” or by your words a “climate denier.” I look forward to being contacted by you or your representatives. Before you do so please come prepared.

It seems everything proves man-made climate change: high temperatures, low temperatures, more rain, more droughts, no snow, blizzards, more hurricanes, less hurricanes, more tornadoes, fewer tornadoes, and volcanoes.

For any hypothesis to be scientific it has to be falsifiable (i.e. there has to be some condition that can’t happen). So how is man-made climate change scientific? What conditions would prove it false? What conditions occurred in the past before man-made climate change that don’t occur now?

  30. NO—This is not unbelievable. This is what happens when people do nothing and watch their rights taken away. This did not start yesterday. It started 40 years ago and everyone said “That won’t happen in the US” and ignored anything that looked like that was happening in the US. Parents still send their kids to public school to be indoctrinated—they just don’t care enough to do anything. Apathy leads to loss of freedom. People blog about this, talk about it, and do not a thing. So it is absolutely believable.

To put an end to the effectiveness of this particular campaign, I suggest signs that point to the “Proud climate realist now under attack by the white house” be placed on the doors of all climate realists. If you beat them to the punch, the punch loses it’s momentum.

If no one does anything but cower and complain, kiss your freedom goodbye. You gave it away.
