Diane Feinstein Does Her Pinocchio Imitation

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=MnI3Hp0fJhE]

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), chair of the Senate intelligence committee, appeared with Rogers on “Meet the Press.” She was asked why the CIA called the attack terrorism from the beginning — but Rice did not:

“Because she could speak publicly only on unclassified speaking points,” Feinstein said. There was concern about naming a terrorist group “until we had some certainty,” Feinstein explained.

That explains why Obama was calling this an “intelligence failure” last week.

President Wants Burma To Do Better Than The US

Obama wants cult personality rule only in the US. Perhaps he is upset at the thought of other leaders scamming on his Asian chicks.

USHCN’s Latest Stunt

The gubermint has declared 2012 to be the hottest year ever in the US, two months ahead of time and in direct contradiction to their own data – which show 1921 and 1934 as being warmer.

I went to the USHCN web site today to see how much they jacked October temperatures up, and discovered that they are not publishing any monthly temperatures after May, 2008. All of their published November 19, 2012  data is truncated to unknown values after May 2008. It is inconceivable that this could happen accidentally. This is a typical 2008 data line

As far as I can tell, they made the decision that 2012 would be the hottest year ever – back in March.

Sea Level Rise Less Than 0.7 mm/Year – And Falling

Sea Level Trends

The average sea level rise rate for all 157 NOAA tide gauges active this century, is just below 0.7 mm/year.

tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/sltrends/MSL_global_trendtable.html

The average for all 194 stations (including ones which are now defunct) is higher – at 0.8 mm/year. This indicates that sea level rise rates are slowing this century, and are much lower than the wildly bogus claims of 3.1 mm from the University of Colorado and elsewhere.

The blink comparator below shows CU claims, and the actual rates.

Eighty-eight percent of the NOAA tide gauges show sea level rise rates lower than 3.1 mm/year. This applies for both currently active tide gauges and defunct ones.  Almost all of the tide gauges which show 3.1 mm/year are in subduction zones.

The widely used number of 3.1 mm/year is a complete joke.

Obama Continues To Focus On Foreign Affairs

The commander in chief is outraged by General Petraeus infidelity and other domestic problems, and has left the country to focus on foreign affairs. The president considers adultery to be unacceptable in his White House, and demanded Petraeus resignation.
