Climate Science Isn’t The Only Religion Where The End Justifies The Means

Perhaps Penn State was preparing future climate Jihadis?

A 2010 Arabic news video that is making the rounds on the Internet gives the details. Apparently a cleric, one Abu al-Dema al-Qasab, informed jihadis of an “innovative and unprecedented way to execute martyrdom operations: place explosive capsules in your anus. However, to undertake this jihadi approach you must agree to be sodomized for a while to widen your anus so it can hold the explosives.”

Others inquired further by asking for formal fatwas. Citing his desire for “martyrdom and the virgins of paradise,” one jihadi, (possibly al-Asiri himself) asked another sheikh, “Is it permissible for me to let one of the jihadi brothers sodomize me to widen my anus if the intention is good?”

After praising Allah, the sheikh’s fatwa began by declaring that sodomy is forbidden in Islam,

However, jihad comes first, for it is the pinnacle of Islam, and if the pinnacle of Islam can only be achieved through sodomy, then there is no wrong in it. For the overarching rule of [Islamic] jurisprudence asserts that “necessity makes permissible the prohibited.” And if obligatory matters can only be achieved by performing the prohibited, then it becomes obligatory to perform the prohibited, and there is no greater duty than jihad. After he sodomizes you, you must ask Allah for forgiveness and praise him all the more. And know that Allah will reward the jihadis on the Day of Resurrection, according to their intentions—and your intention, Allah willing, is for the victory of Islam, and we ask that Allah accept it of you.

Thing Of The Past Arrives Early In The UK

UK Weather: Snow hits southern England as heavy rain sparks flood warnings across the country | Mail Online

The UK’s leading climate forecasters say that the last snow disappeared twelve years ago.

Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past

MONDAY 20 MARCH 2000

Global warming, the heating of the atmosphere by increased amounts of industrial gases, is now accepted as a reality by the international community.

……

“Children just aren’t going to know what snow is” …… Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia said

……

David Parker, at the Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research in Berkshire, says ultimately, British children could have only virtual experience of snow. Via the internet, they might wonder at polar scenes – or eventually “feel” virtual cold.

In The Wake Of Sandy, Sea Level Scum Floats To The Surface

Some researchers said the 39-inch rise a state science panel expects by year 2100 may be far too low. Other new studies say North Carolina is part of an Atlantic coast “hot spot” where seas are rising far faster than in the rest of the world.

“We’re going to have a meter of sea-level rise. I can’t tell you if it will be 50 years or 100 years from now,” said panel member Rob Young, who leads the Program for the Study of Developed Shorelines at Western Carolina University.

North Carolina’s coast is ‘hot spot’ for rising sea levels | CharlotteObserver.com

Sea level is actually rising more slowly in North Carolina (2.0 mm/year) than the claimed global average of 3.1 mm/year. If the long term trend continued, North Carolina would see less than seven inches of sea level rise by 2100.

But it is worse than it seems. Since 1990, sea level in North Carolina has been rising at less than half a millimetre per year. If the post-1990 trend continued, North Carolina would see  less than two inches of sea level rise by the year 2100.

Satellite measurements show essentially no change in sea level along the North Carolina and Virginia coasts since the start of records.

Rob Young’s claims are off by more than 2500%. Western Carolina University should be held accountable for this.

Current Sea Level Lies Exceed Expectations

Sea levels are rising faster than expected from global warming, and University of Colorado geologist Bill Hay has a good idea why. The last official IPCC report in 2007 projected a global sea level rise between 0.2 and 0.5 meters by the year 2100. But current sea-level rise measurements meet or exceed the high end of that range and suggest a rise of one meter or more by the end of the century.

According to wildly bloated University Of Colorado sea level data, sea level is rising at 3.1 mm per year, and slowing down since 2006. This would cause a rise of 27 cm by the year 2100, which is at the low end of IPCC projections.

Romney Caused Hurricane Sandy

Mitt Romney does not believe that Barack Obama is the messiah, and therefore Hurricane Sandy is his fault.

The US Returns To Superstition

One Sunday afternoon in 1969 the filthy, oil-coated Cuyahoga River in Ohio caught fire and quickly became a potent symbol of industrial pollution, helping galvanize public opinion and set the stage for passage of national environmental laws the following decade.

The combination of Hurricane Sandy and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s announcement that he was endorsing President Obama largely because of Obama’s actions on global warming could do the same thing for climate change, say scientists and political observers.

“This may be that sort of Cuyahoga River moment for climate change,” said Michael Mann, a leading climate scientist and Penn State University professor. “It has galvanized attention to this issue and the role that climate change may be playing with regard to the intensification of extreme weather.”

Coming on the heels of this summer’s crop-withering drought in the Midwest and destructive wildfires in the West, Sandy provided a glimpse of what scientists say the nation can expect with global warming.

This has nothing to do with science, and everything to do with superstition. Historical records show that none of the issues described above are either unusual, or getting worse.

Climate news is dominated by superstition rather than science. Not a recipe for societal success. Bad weather has always happened, and pretending that we can do something about it is as stupid as humans get.

Evil Fossil Fuels Needed In New York

Bloomberg said earlier this week that burning fossil fuels caused New York’s problems, while residents of New York are dying for lack of fossil fuels.

Storm-ravaged and weary Rockaways residents cornered Mayor Bloomberg yesterday to angrily demand more aid for their devastated neighborhood.

“When are we gonna get some help?” blasted one desperate woman, who had to be held back by the mayor’s security detail as Bloomberg stood by with a deer-in-the-headlights look.

“When are we gonna get some f–king help?” she demanded.

“There’s old ladies in my building that don’t got nothing,” lashed out a man on video caught by a NY1 reporting crew.

“I spoke to many people who were worried, frustrated and cold,” Bloomberg said. “There’s no power there and temperatures are dropping. Even those who have generators are having a hard time getting fuel.”

Worst Weekend In English Football History?

English football has completely sucked this weekend.

West Ham got cheated out a win by the linesman, and City was unable to get a decent shot off the entire match.

Arsenal swooned over RVP, gave him a free goal, and put MU at the top of the tables. It reminded me of Obama’s visit with Chris Christie.

Chelsea went to sleep in the 89th minute, and dropped out of the top of the tables. Does Ramires get paid to ball watch at the top of the 18? Without Mata on the pitch, Chelsea sucks.

Spurs couldn’t score at home against Wigan. (November 25 will feature Lennon vs. McCartney, when West Ham comes to White Hart Lane.)

QPR and Reading remain winless and neither could even manage to beat the other.

Liverpool is losing again at Anfield.

Most devastating is that Shrewsbury lost their FA cup match, despite their excellent football venues (seen below.)
