The 2008 presidential election outcome was determined by 47% of the population, mainly in large cities and mainly on the government dole.

DENVER — The slowest economic recovery since World War II is going especially slow for sections of Colorado, according to a letter from the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) obtained by The Colorado Observer.

In seven counties in Colorado unemployed individuals are close to or exceeding 20% of the population, a letter from the Chief Economist of CDLE to the U.S. Department of Agriculture says.

The letter, obtained through the Colorado Open Records Act, was sent August 29 as required by federal law. According to the Consolidated Farm and Rural Development Act, the Colorado Labor Department is required to certify counties where the “Not Employed Rate” surpasses 19.5%.

In a few months, we will reach the critical point when there has been no global warming for more than half of the RSS satellite temperature record – which extends back to 1978.

In a few weeks, we will reach the point when there have been no major hurricane strikes on the US for seven years, the longest such period since the civil war.

Alarmist scientists will continue to lie about CO2, because they have no useful job skills and would likely end up in a homeless shelter if the global warming research money quit flowing.

First came the August shot of cold.. which by itself was impressive but only 10 days long

September followed in with a 10-15 day cool period, meaning the month will turn out normal to below in the Ohio valley

August still a warm month because of the start and finish, but the cold in the middle was the first shot

September: the area of non warm grows,

Notice how the cooling is going into the areas so hot ( slightly east)

Now here is the latest forecast for the front 16 days of October because as we get into fall and toward winter, this means business

Romm writes of an “Epic Dust Bowl”, only he seems to have missed the part about the dust. The US corn crop in 2012 is forecast to be the eighth largest on record.

The 2012 drought is in no way comparable to the 1930s or the 1950s, and is not even particularly unusual.

According to Phil Jones, Svalbard has been cooling since the beginning of their records in 1923.

A new study from James Hansen University chooses to use proxy data, while ignoring the thermometer data.

Summers on the Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard are now warmer than at any other time in the last 1,800 years, including during medieval times when parts of the northern hemisphere were as hot as, or hotter, than today, according to a new study in the journal Geology.

Researchers produced the 1,800 year climate record by analyzing levels of unsaturated fats in algae buried in the sediments of Kongressvatnet lake, in western Svalbard.

This is the reverse of Michael Mann’s approach. Mann threw out proxy data which he didn’t like, and replaced it with Hansen’s adjusted thermometer data. In this case, the researchers ignored the thermometer data, and replaced it with proxy data.

• Antarctic sea ice now covers 19,454,000 km². This is the most sea ice ever measured at either pole, and is about the size of  the US and Europe combined, or 335,000 Manhattans.
• The ice extends more than 1,000 miles off the coast of Antarctica. Emperor Penguins have to walk across the ice to get to the sea.
• Most of the ice is located between 60 and 70S, which means that it reflects huge amounts of sunshine back into space, dramatically cooling the Earth.
• The sun is currently about 30 degrees above the horizon at the ice edge.
• The National Snow And Ice Data Center in Colorado has still failed to mention this on their web site. They continue to discuss the record Arctic minimum, and until recently were featuring an article about penguins being threatened by declining Antarctic sea ice, even though Antarctic sea ice has been steadily increasing throughout the satellite record.

Antarctica has broken the record for the greatest sea ice extent ever measured at either pole.

NSIDC seems disinterested in their own data, choosing instead to write stories about Penguins being threatened by declining Antarctic sea ice.

If current trends continue, the Earth will be completely covered with ice much faster than the climate models predicted.
