Climate experts promise us that if we simply give up our freedom, money, and the ability to heat our homes – they can make US winters 0.7C colder than this past winter.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Pet peeve Steve – Title should be departure from recent average temperature,
The word normal has no place in anything to do with weather / climate.
I thought that, if we just listened to the experts, temperature would be a constant 68 degrees, just like it was for thousands of years before we, you know, started burning stuff instead of living in caves and eating weeds.
The promise has indeed been realized according to the NOAA. Here’s their ranking of temps for the past month. Outside of the Midwest, it hasn’t really been too bad. We just need to continue having faith in the government. They know best if it’s been truly cold.
