Surely the correct answer to question 1 should be ‘No, not before the handle met the blade’
Unfortunately, the same “lock-step consensus thinking” brought us:

All you need is to have one crackpot predict “X” amount of warming. Then you can have thousands of other crackpots coming in behing that crackpot, each predicting what unspeakable horrors “X” amount of warming will to to each species and/or the habitat of each species, even if the “X” amount of predicted warming is a total delusion.
