Donation Button

Disrupting the Borg is expensive. A number of readers have suggested I do this, so I added a donate button on the right side of the blog.

There is a guy in Boulder named Zip Code Man, who has every postal code in the world memorized. He asks dozens of people what their zip code is, places them on a giant map on the sidewalk, recites all of their Zip Codes, tells them where they live, and then makes up a story which ties them all together. It is great show, and was a favorite of my kids when they were small.

He always ends the show by passing around a hat, and says “You don’t have to pay, but if you don’t – I know where you live”

David not only knows every postal code, but knows information like restaurants and neighborhoods in most locations. David doesn’t understand why other people can’t remember numbers like he does. A real life Rain Man.

Your support for Zip Codes and ending the climate scam, is greatly appreciated.

You deserve support. I will chip in the cost of my last Economist subscription.

  2. Windsong says:

Donation on the way. Keep up the good fight.

    You are a warrior, Steve.

Glad to add to the tip jar

    • Thanks Jim,

Boulder residents have been extremely generous this afternoon. BTW – my rear tire went flat again riding down from Horsetooth Reservoir last week. It had a clean slit, almost like it had gone over a razor blade.

I love your climate comments here, but I’m not particularly fond of the kind of blanket bashing you give to wide swaths of the public (I’m a climate skeptic who finds a lot of what you write to be brilliant, but some of it is really gratuitous and unfair; some is even wildly conspiracist). I would love to contribute to something that tries to stay on the topic of climate change. [I expect this comment to be treated as you are treated on warmist forums – do you think that’s right?]

    • The global warming scam is one of the largest government conspiracies in history. It has nothing to do with science any more.

Steve, I’m an old, retired steamfitter that started trying to figure out this left-wing environmentalist nonsense about three years ago. That’s when I bought my first computer. I’m not a scientist by any means, but I’m skilled enough to recognize bullhockeysticks when I see them.

If your readers don’t know yet (which I’m fairly sure they do), Dr. Tim Ball sums up the idiocy in “The Deliberate Corruption of Climate Science.” Most of the science is over my head, but the leftist politics and bullhockeysticks isn’t. Thanks for Real Science.

  5. Marc says:

That’s like saying is a conspiracy. Certainly, warmistas buy into AGW in a dogmatic way. I suspect the large majority mean well, and push their agenda “for our own good”; others, of course, will take advantage of the $$$ available in typical rent-seeker fashion. But the same can be true of lots of politically-oriented groups (left and right).

Anyway, I appreciate the fact that you didn’t insult me, so that’s worth a contribution right there.

  6. Marc says:

“That’s like saying religion is a conspiracy,” is what I was trying to say…

Go Steve Go! Love the blog!

Steve, I’ve long been looking for a way to donate to Real Science. My problem is, I have never nor will I ever use my credit card online. Perhaps a P.O. Box? Thank you for your work running one of the most honorable and knowledgeable websites on the net. ~Lou

Steve is one of the few coherent instead of scattered public warriors we countercultural scientific-method punks have left.

His invention of variation-on-a-theme blogging was and is TRUE PUBLIC RADIO.

He is an honorary New Yorker, who wields a wrench, a protractor, and a simple everyday hammer.

“The visible world is a deliberate deceit, hiding an internal reality which is so glorious that all men would be drunk with ecstasy if they could see into it. The internal reality is the purpose of the Life Force. Most of us are blinded by our moods and feelings, and have no sense whatever of inward reality. Our reaction to things and people a gloomy day, our dislike of someone we have to work with keeps us aware only of the surface of the world. But the great poet has moments in which people disappears as if they never had been, and his degrading membership of this club of squabbling, stupid schoolboys called the human race suddenly vanishes, leaving him aware of his own inward reality, and the reality of the force that drives all things.” – Colin Wilson (Religion and the Rebel, 1957)

GIVE THIS UTTERLY UNIQUE FANATIC MORE THAN ENOUGH FUCKING BUCKS TO ACTUALLY FEEL APPRECIATED.

    Global Warming is Pearl Harbor.

I gave $55.55. Yeah, so I stick out. Go ahead and stick out, because the service provided is a well worth it.

  11. Colorado Wellington says:

I’m quite fond of the bashing you give ’em, Steve. The bastards deserve it.

    Resistance is not futile.

(a decimal system lends itself better to make it count when using a limited amount of ones and zeros in the donation field)

I used to work for an oil co. so consider my donation as an evil oil payoff LOL Keep up the good work Steve & thanks for all I’ve learned from the comments posted on this site : )
