More Workplace Violence At Fort Hood

President Obama did a bang up job of burying the last act of terrorism at Fort Hood, and now we have a repeat.

God forbid we should allow soldiers to carry guns. That might discourage terrorists.

Look for the White House to blame it on Snowden this time. Last time it was Bush’s fault.

  1. Bob Greene says:

Military installations are essentially gun free zones. Soldiers are disarmed. How could this happen?

  2. Psalmon says:

With all due respect SG, this violence was clearly caused by Climate Change. They predicted that there would be more threats to our security, refugees, fight over resources. 80 degrees there, drove ’em crazy.

  3. Chewer says:

We can thank slick Willy and his progressive anti-gun crowd for the disarmament of our military bases in the early 90’s.
Maybe the commanders should have taught the troops how to throw Ninja throwing stars and their buck knives 😉

Just when is Hassan supposed to go to trial anyway. It’s only been like 5 years already but the wheels of justice are certain the incident was only a case of work place violence and not that of an attack by an enemy combatant at least.

    • Tel says:

It took the first three years to figure out how long his beard should be. Disarming troops is a no brainer, but beards require complex iterations of decision making.

    • joefreeman says:

Hasan was convicted and sentenced to death in August of 2013. The last I heard, he will be at Ft. Leavenworth until his appeals and time run out.

  5. Shanna M says:

If our military bases are gun free zones…what happens if another nation actually invades us?
