Story of GCMs similar to fate of Humpty-Dumpty….and all the King’s El Ninos and all the King’s adjustments couldn’t put Humpty-Dumpty together again. 😉

  2. BobW in NC says:

I am truly shocked, SHOCKED!, I tell you…

    • Sundance says:

I’m waiting for Whitehouse/Obama /Holdren to blame the Polar Vortex for lack of TLT warming and call RSS flat Earters and deniers.

  3. Sundance says:

99.999999999% of satellites disagree with 97% of climate scientists.

  4. Eliza says:

First admission from an official AGW site (Santer et al etc) that something is wrong LOL

  5. Shazaam says:

All those computer-generated fantasy climate models showed an interesting pattern whilst processing historical data. They lagged the input (expected) and amplified any changes in temperature slope. Especially upward changes.

In other words, these models were carefully constructed to be unstable and generate the desired scarey results. After all, the modellers require a larger tax base to fund their tropical resort conferences, and to keep the grant money flowing freely.

Unfortunately for the computer-generated fantasy climate model aficionados, there is this little thing called reality. And reality doesn’t claim to hide warm water at the bottom of the oceans.

    • gator69 says:

I used to build models when I was a kid. And you know what? I was never surprised at what I produced. If I wanted to build a P-51 I built a P-51, and if I waned to build a Sherman Tank I built a Sherman Tank. Funny thing about models, they always ended up to be just what I wanted, because I built them.

  6. Eliza says:

The other point is that scientist should not be drawing straight lines through the data and calling it a trend. A best fit curve is the correct approach and sorry is does not show anything in any of the RSS curves. In fact the curve in all graphs is getting pretty close to zero. The Tropics and SH show 0 change since recordings began. Lukewarmers and skeptics who think it is warming even slightly should wake up to the data because they will look like idiots in 3 years..

  7. Mike D says:

The science is settled. The models can not be questioned but the predictions must be adhered to. We’re all doomed.

  8. Andy DC says:

That is a cherry picked chart because it starts in 1979. Go back to 1939 and the trend is even less impressive.

  9. More proof that past temperatures need adjusting.

  10. Mark Luhman says:

Andy, they just readjusted the numbers, don’t you realize the temperature were colder than what they read on the thermometers back then.

  11. Morgan says:

Why don’t they just tamper the new temps? Seems like an easy solution to the whole “pause” problem

    • Gail Combs says:

Because Dr. Christy and Dr Spencer have control of the satellite data sets and both are honest. The land based data sets were diverging too much from the satellite sets and they got called on it so the warmists have had to content themselves with continuously cooling the past.

    • Gail Combs says:

I also should mention that the Warmists know they are on a short time clock. That is why they changed the battle cry from “Global Warming” to “Climate Change” and why Al GOre has Cashed out and walked away from ‘Green’ Energy’

The PDO has already flipped, the sun despite being at the peak of cycle 24 is anemic and the Antarctic sea ice is hitting record highs. The Powers That Be KNOW there are two somewhat regularly occurring variations in common – one with a period of about 88 years and the second with a period of about 200 years. These are correlated to variations in the sun and despite all the bluffing and rhetoric about TSI only varying a miniscule amount they KNOW the sun does change, the sun DOES affect the climate and we are about to find out just how much it affects the climate the hard way in the coming decade or two.

The only questions are how big the temperature drop will be and how bad the droughts will be. You didn’t think the Land Grab – The Race to buy up the World’s Farmland was just for fun did you? The Bundy Ranch drama is just one of many many cases going on around the world. We all have to eat and as Kissinger said “Control Food Control People” and make buckets of money while you are at it. No surprise, but coming from RSS?
