Prof Stavins told The Mail on Sunday yesterday that he had been especially concerned by what happened at a special ‘contact group’. He was one of only two scientists present, surrounded by ‘45 or 50’ government officials.
He said almost all of them made clear that ‘any text that was considered inconsistent with their interests and positions in multilateral negotiations was treated as unacceptable.’

Translated: “Who pays, determines.”
It’s not quite unexpected to see government interfere with the final version of report. They paid for it.
And after all, the original assignment to the IPCC was to find the Manmade influence on climate, so the result was settled already, hence the settled science.
We get the government we ask for and the science we paid for.

This is because the rich guys who own America ( and who are protected by BOTH political parties, right and left!) told all the third world nations they would all get CO2 tax money if they supported the idea that we are all roasting to death.
So..they all began howling in unison about ‘global warming’ and holding their hands out for a piece of the tax pie paid by Europe, America and the Common Wealth (ironic name, no?).
This forced scientists (sic) to cower in fear and obey. Then, the goodies were distributed to any ‘scientists’ (sic) who strengthened the global warming storyline so everyone lined up to do ‘global warming is evil’ studies.
Now we have a total collapse in science and my great joy, watching nature shows, has been dropping like a rock due to all the recent shows being nearly uniformly about global warming even if it has nothing to do with it.

It’s curious that the more “progressive” the government becomes the less seriously science is taken since science was once the foundation of “progressivism”). Recently there has been discussion on skeptics getting organized to resist the attack on skeptic’s freedom of speech and Pointman wrote about the importance of doing so in an effort to expose political corruption in the climate change debate. This news about tossing out 75% od the original document and intolerance for facts that are inconvenient to politicis would be a good launching point for an organized rebuttal of the IPCC process. JPascal van Ypersele is all over twitter crowing about becoming the next Pachauri and until the IPCC monster is defunded and destroyed, this corrupt political organization will continue to take our money and use it to try to transform our society into their vision. The IPCC is the “head” of the monster and if the head is removed the beast cannot survive. Donna Laframboise is extremely knowledgeable about IPCC corruption and she may be thee cornerstone for building a coalition. Until something like this happens, skeptics will continue to be forced to the back of the bus, told to shut up and not exist in the eyes of the global political elitists.

If they did, what percentage of the population would just not get it? It’d have to be dramatized in a re-creation, where the scientist tries to get his views across, and is shouted down by menacing men and women, with the appropriate menacing music.
What did Prof Stavins expect? It’s not called the Inter- GOVERNMENTAL Panel on Climate Change for nothing.
