The Progressive View Of Science

Shut up! If scientists want you to be a slave, you can’t argue with them. It is for your own good.

A message for Herr branigano: AGW = It’s All Gone Wrong!

  2. We are supposed to listen to Zapp Branigan and Dr. Zoidberg, two of the most incompetent people in cartoon history?

  3. D. Self says:

These morons must be afraid of their own shadow. Scary stuff that someone can be so easily controlled.

  4. Send Al to the Pole says:

The Obungo administration can’t save a healthcare website, let alone the planet.

  5. Dom says:

Logorrhea: a pathologically and often incoherent and excessive talkativeness, a communication disorder resulting in incoherent talkativeness or repetitiveness speech.

I add that logorrhea may be a result (preceded by misplaced facial hair) of a mal-formed b cluster due to the abuse of too many recreational drugs from puberty-onward.

  6. Latitude says:

notice, he didn’t come up with any other solutions…..it’s either that, or do nothing

  7. Streetcred says:

LOL, Zapp Branigano pwned himself …. what a twat !

  8. Gamecock says:

The planet. Shouldn’t it be Planet? I thought deities were supposed to be capitalized.

Note that Zapp’s concern is with the planet, not the people. Sicko.

  9. Andy Oz says:

Footballers agree methane is our worst enemy.
Progressive plan for us in their post carbon world.
If this were anything other than propaganda, why then are all the “renewable energy companies” multinational, private and subsidised by big government.

“A post-carbon civilization will “increase access to, and ownership of, productive resources for the majority”, he writes, with agricultural and industrial means of production controlled by grassroots communities. The end of productive resources being concentrated in the hands of an elite minority would “drastically reduce industrial overconsumption while transitioning to a localized renewable-energy infrastructure”.

  10. Mike D says:

These are the kind of people who used to do human sacrifices so that the sun would keep rising, or the next crop would be good, or the gods wouldn’t be angry. Have to do something so that the bad thing doesn’t happen because someone says so.

  11. bubbagyro says:

To Steve: Are you a climate heretic?
To Zapped Braingasm: Are you a pooftah?

  12. B says:

Every state needs an intellectual class to justify what the state wants to do. It’s part of the illusion required to rule over us.

    • Jason Calley says:

True. A thousand years ago the trusted intellectual class were the clerics. Eventually more and more people began to lose trust in the organized churches. A hundred years ago, the newspapers represented the trusted intellectual class — but years of yellow journalism eventually forced the people to lose trust in the newspapers as well. Fifty years ago, television and radio newscasters had taken up the mantle of being the trusted intellectual class, but because of blatant propagandizing, the people finally turned away.

And today…one of the last institutions that we trusted, the scientists are being used to force feed the public on a diet of lies, lies, lies. Not all the scientists are part of it, but rather a subset of people who have the credentials of science without the ethos.

My hope is that people wake up to the propaganda before science as an institution is completely discredited.

      • Gail Combs says:

I think it is getting well past that point. Scientists and more importantly Scientific organizations like the Royal Society have well and truly peed in their soup by climbing on the CAGW band wagon.

I, a chemist, will never trust a government funded scientist again. Unfortunately the industrial funded scientists have already lost their reputation.

  13. Chip Bennett says:

I’ll consider listening to the self-proclaimed “experts” when they start exhibiting a modicum of ethics, and stop violating every principle of scientific discovery and analysis.
