  1. jdseanjd says:

A committee is a creature with many legs & no brains, & I’m sorry, but I can’t remember where that came from, but if forced to guess, I’d go for Mark Twain or Robert Heinlein.

  2. Psalmon says:

On the 20th anniversary of the Rwanda genocide, we should all remember what happens when one group of humans claims another group of humans is the problem for something that is endangering all our lives.

  3. gator69 says:

Q: How many climate scientists does it take to change a light bulb?

A: None. There’s a consensus that it’s going to change, so they’ve decided to keep us in the dark.

  4. Morgan says:

People who suffer from groupthink won’t change how they think if it means leaving the group.

    -Morgan

    You can’t change a group’s mind.

I worked in science or applied science for many years, have advanced degree in physics and a math degree, and never heard the term “scientific consensus” until the IPCC and Al Gore came along. Its a BS phrase invented by UN Bureaucrats. Science does not work by “consensus” even if the 97% crap surveys were true.

  6. Richard Mallett says:

Abba Eban wasn’t even born until 1915 – must have been a real precocious baby !

    • My “The New American Desk Encyclopedia” (1993) has the listing, “EBAN, Abba Solomon (1915 – )”. So I think the error is one of copy-and-paste (which I categorize as a typographical error, and one that is the eternal enemy of all who dare to copy-and-paste).

  7. Ben says:

    Steven,

Consensus : Because none of us is as dumb as all of us.

The same definition applies to meetings and committees
