Overheated Atmosphere Strikes Again

The world’s leading climate experts at the IPCC warned this would happen :

15.2.4.1.2.4.

Milder winter temperatures will decrease heavy snowstorms

IPCC Third Assessment Report – Climate Change 2001

Heavy snow in Mexico, Southern California, the Mojave Desert and Texas provide even further fulfillment of the prophesy.

So does the 23 °F this morning in mid NC. Not a record breaker but still 8 °F below normal for this time of year. North Carolina is outside the path of the cold Arctic air.

“Milder winter temperatures will decrease heavy snowstorms”

No “could”, “may’, “might’, or “possibly”, they took a stand! Except they did not mention any time reference, so they could be speaking of the next interglacial, for all we know..

  3. ren says:

Polar vortex cut off the cold air in the Southwest. Arctic air reaches the northeast.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, TONY et al !

The central fact in my life today is an absolute certainty that the Creator, Destroyer and Sustainer of every atom, life and world in the Solar System today [1] is inconsistent with SSSM*, SSNM* and Metc* that geophysicists created for Stalin and other frightened world leaders in 1945 to “save the world” from nuclear annihilation by elevating these frightened cowards to the position of rulers of the world.

Ren, I don’t understand the reason for posting the Lake Superior Ice Coverage map. It indicates that the current ice coverage is at 2.4% and that this is expected to increase to 6.6% over the next five days. (The dark blue area is where there is less than 10% coverage and the white area has no measurable ice.) Is this significantly different from the average for the past years?

  5. ringostarr says:

Gee that must be why the snowplows got stuck in the streets of Buffalo, NY one week before Thanksgiving 2014. They only got 88 inches of cold white and did i mention cold [?] Global Warming snow.

While driving between venues last night, must have been a little after 11:00 PM, we noticed the light rain and drizzle start intermixing with some sort of light, wispy, seemingly paper thin tiny shreds of what appeared to be some sort of ice-like substance. I was told it was something commonly referred to as “snow”.

Yes. Snow. This is Phoenix, Arizona incidentally. It was never enough to collect on the ground, but there it was, very light, but there.

Oh, and it was cold. Well, cold for Phoenix!

When will mainstream *journalists* other than ‘right wing extremist climate deniers’ like Andrew Bolt hold the never ending list of climate dud-predictions to account? Really.

Personally I think that DC should be quarantined. It used to be the District of Columbia inside the loop was considered 26 sq. miles surrounded by reality. But obviously the delusion has metastasized to other places.

        • philjourdan says:

It covers the eastern 2/3rds of MD, plus a loop that descends to Fredericksburg in VA. Cauterize that portion of the country, and 3/4 of the debt disappears.

    • Dave N says:

I was considering maintaining a list of failed predictions myself. Does anyone know if one exists already?
