CO2 causes sea level rise by melting glaciers and by expansion of sea water.
CO2 also causes the expansion of airports barely above sea level.
Is there anything it can’t do?

The anti-CO2 cult have failed badly as an anti-CO2 cult.
China, india, Indonesia, several south African countries, Germany, Japan, Korea, and many others too numerous to list, are ALL planning big increases in CO2 emissions.
These with TOTALLY SWAMP any slight drop in emissions in the western world.
There will continue to be a rapid increase in anthropogenic CO2.
And there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that the agw cultists of the world can do about it. 🙂

There is absolutely nothing RATIONAL that they can do about it — but they have not been shining examples of rationality. I sometime have the fear that the CAGW cult members actually believe the stuff they are saying. Combine the possibility that they really, really, really would not mind at all seeing the population of the world drop by 95% and it looks even worse. I hope I am wrong, but I suspect that some of these people (not all, but some of them at least) would start a nuclear war if they could. “Sure, the damage to the biosphere would be huge, but things would heal up and there would be far fewer people. It is the only way to save the planet. It is a net win situation!”
I am afraid of that too Jason especially with the results of theChernobyl Accident to extrapolate from.
India got tired of Greenpeace’s constant interference and nagging about solar, so they kicked them out of the country. They are trying to get real energy to rural areas whereas the greenies wanted solar. They must be getting big bucks from solar firms.

Maldives will be Singapore 2.0 within 10 years if China plays this right.
China is spending all those useless Trillions of US$ they were given over the past 20 years. They are spending them on things that will provide a tremendous return in the future. Chinese built Airport for millions of tourists. Chinese built ports for shipping. Chinese built resorts for Chinese tourists. Chinese built office precincts for Chinese business’s to operate from. Chinese built telecommunication satellites & systems. Chinese owned and run farms.
Soft strategy as opposed to the hard strategy the US is famous for. The Chinese are playing the game which they win in a few decades or even a century. Time means little to them. They are close to being the world leader in everything once again as they were before the British Opium Wars.
AND … China funding coal mines around the world and coal-fire power stations in South Africa, Indonesia and probably many other place.

China, India , Germany, Japan, South Africa and many other countries will continue to RAMP UP their coal and fossil fuel use.
All you may succeeded in doing is to lower the living standards in your own countries and hand over control to a totalitarian UN that has absolutely no love for western society.
