Now That Lying About The Climate Is A Crime …..

I was stuck in traffic on I-95 and the Beltway for two hours tonight, and was listening to NPR. They had a story about Keystone.

Obama said that Keystone “would not be a disaster for the climate, but it would send the wrong message ahead of Paris” In other words, it is all about politics and nothing to do with science or climate.

NPR was unable to locate any Republicans in Washington DC to talk to, so they talked to some random left wing whack jobs on the street, and Bill McKibben – who unloaded a barrage of spectacular lies, of course unchallenged by NPR.

  • “2015 was the hottest year in the history of the planet”
  • “Antarctica is melting”
  • “The Arctic is melting”

Most of the past 600 million were years were about 18 degrees F warmer than this year, even after NASA data tampering. Why isn’t the DOJ investigating McKibben for lying about the climate?

NASA announced this week that Antarctica continues to gain ice. Why isn’t the DOJ investigating McKibben for lying about the climate?

The Arctic has seen record sea ice and land ice gain this Autumn. Why isn’t the DOJ investigating McKibben for lying about the climate?

The age of reason is over. We have an idiot in the White House who doesn’t know the difference between a metal tube, and the climate.

  1. I had the misfortune of hearing that Bill McKibben interview on the radio a few hours ago. What a freaking idiot. His voice sounded like the teacher on Beavis and Butt head, Mister Van Driessen??

Obama apparently does not know the tar sands are a big natural oil spill that is being cleaned up by extracting the oil and leaving behind clean reclaimed forest land. Idiot.

Well, up here in Alberta, we are HOPING a Republican gets elected to President….however, you might have to wait a full 4 years, as our province voted in a stupid left wing Gov’t that is anti oil, anti pipeline anti just about everything, but wants to embrace the Green side of things and our Federal Gov’t is the same….I just shake my head at 4 years of grief ahead of us….

    Steven,

You have a stronger stomach than I. NPR is no longer something I can listen to; once I figured out Global Warming / Climate Change was a fraud I couldn’t help but wonder what else they were lying about; so I don’t listen to any of it. But it’s interesting to hear that NPR is completely complicit with the fraud. I’m glad someone is keeping track. I’m not. So thanks.

Bill McKibben? Who is this fool and why on earth are his hysterical, misinformed opinions being broadcast across the country? What are his qualifications to be pontificating about atmospheric science? Isn’t he some kind of wordsmith?

Our media-centric culture creates celebrities – famous and well-known figures who are famous and well-known for no other reason than they are constantly broadcast to the masses. They are actually nobodies, nothings, shadow people. This McKibbon guy fits that description. If I was listening to a radio and he came on the air I would turn off the radio. With my fist.

“Bill McKibben? Who is this fool ?”
      >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
He is a journalist educated at Haaaarvard. (Cambridge is so left wing a friend who is a communist had to register as a Republican and work the polls so the voting booths could open!)

McKibben comes by his flakiness honestly. His father, who was arrested in 1971 during a protest in support of Vietnam veterans against the war, and was business editor at The Boston Globe in 1980.

While doing a story on the homeless Bill McKibben lived on the streets; there he met his wife, Sue Halpern, who was working as a homeless advocate.

In other words he has ZERO actual creds but lots of emotion, so he is a classic Useful Idiot.

The Whitehouse backed away from AGW fears today to admit that the most immediate danger to modern civilization may be vulnerability to a solar EMP (electromagnetic pulse):

The age of reason is DEFINITELY over. In a stunningly short time period western civilization has devolved into a world of complete nonsense where evidence is completely irrelevant, only your politically correct opinion is.

    • Gail Combs says:

Worse it only took one generation. US old folks are the last who remember a USA without major regs and taxes.

We did need to clean up our act environmentally but that was due to the courts not allowing lawsuits of criminal trespass against companies who polluted. Back before the EPA we were told pollution was “the Price of Progress.”

The first company I worked for was actually sued over air pollution by the Chemical Co next door and won but this was just before the EPA was formed. Absolute protection of private property rights from the beginning would have gone a long way to see that pollution was never the big problem in the USA that it had become by the 1960s.

Obama’s speech about Keystone was a good demonstration that the age of reason is over. He said that we might make parts of earth “uninhabitable” in our lifetimes. Such a completely ridiculous claim should draw laughter, instead its taken as a serious comment. When the President of the US goes around making such absurd statements its pretty clear society has gone off the rails.

    • The opposite is true. CO2 will make Antarctica and Greenland into tropical paradises.

      • AndyG55 says:

umm .. not any time soon. 😉

        • Well, right after it turns the rest of the world into Venus.

        • AndyG55 says:

Nope, Venus’s surface temp is because of atmospheric pressure.

CO2 has nothing to do with it.

And our atmospheric pressure isn’t changing much any time soon, apart from a major collision or something crazy like that.. then.. only downwards.

        • rah says:

Yep. According to current science we would more likely end up like Mars in the long run than Venus. But it is believed that our sun will will take us out as it dies before our magnetosphere dies off. That is if something else doesn’t take out the planet first.
I saw someone ask on another thread why Mars magnetosphere dissipated. My understanding is that besides the fact that Mars has considerably less mass than earth it is believed that it has as much to do with the size and proximity of our moon as anything else.

        • Gail Combs says:

“And our atmospheric pressure isn’t changing much any time soon.”

Actually the earth is slowly losing atmosphere.
“Low-Energy Ion Escape from the Terrestrial Polar Regions”

The contemporary terrestrial atmosphere loses matter at a rate of around 100,000 tons per year. A major fraction of the net mass loss is constituted by ions, mainly H+ and O+, which escape from the Earth’s ionosphere in the polar regions. Previously, the outflow has only been measured at low altitudes, but to understand what fraction actually escapes and does not return, the measurements should be conducted far from the Earth. However, at large geocentric distances the outflowing ions are dif?cult to detect with conventional ion instruments on spacecraft, since the spacecraft electrostatic potential normally exceeds the equivalent energy of the ions. This also means that little is known about the ion out?ow properties and distribution in space far from the Earth….

Luckily volcanoes replace at least some of the gas.

Sort of makes you wonder if that helps explain this graph.

  8. norilsk says:

Maybe Canada should stop selling any oil to he US. Let Obama go to his friends in Saudi Arabia.

  9. At equivalent atmospheric pressure to the surface of the earth, Venus atmosphere is only slightly warmer than ours. its just much deeper with much more pressure at the surface. Obama nixed keystone to save Buffet’s investment in BNSF railways, which moves most of the Bakken Crude to refineries…Buffet would lose his expensive shirt if the pipeline went through
